Message from the pac Chairperson

Spring is around the corner and I think we are all looking forward to the nicer weather, this year more than ever!

This year we have limited the number of fundraisers since we are missing so many of the fun events. We’ve focused on things that will bring families and the community together and/or help our children grow and develop. Over the break we have a couple options for fun & practical learning. Our virtual book fair is underway until the 14th; reading is a great way to spend an afternoon! Also for our older students, we have Red Cross certified online classes, for Staying Safe at Home or Babysitting. Whatever your plans, stay safe & enjoy each other!


All Sunnyside parents are invited to attend PAC meetings. The next meeting is on Thursday, March 11 at 7pm, via Zoom. The agenda includes construction at Sunnyside, raising funds for our school library, and current events. To join the meeting:

Our Scholastic Virtual Book Fair will be open from March 1 to 14. Order early and receive the books by Spring Break! All orders will be shipped directly to your home, and standard shipping on all orders over $40 is free.

Every purchase earns Book Fair Rewards that will be used to purchase books and resources for our school library. Click on the Online Scholastic link to start ordering great books.

This year, kids aged 9 and up can learn First Aid skills during Spring Break from the comfort of your home. There are a variety of classes and schedules available.

Thank you for participating in our Panago Pizza fundraiser. We hope you enjoyed Pizza Day with your family! The final fundraising numbers are still being calculated, but we will relay the info as soon as it's received.

Dine out or order in, and raise money for Sunnyside! Download the JRG App and use it to pay your bill. This tracks the money, and raises funds for Sunnyside. 10% of your purchase will be returned to Sunnyside.

  2. Open the app and Create an Account or Sign In (existing users).

  3. Once signed in, click Settings and select JOIN A GROUP.

  4. Search and join Sunnyside Elementary from the drop down menu.

  5. Dine out and start using the app to earn fundraising dollars for Sunnyside!

We are now affiliated with popular label maker Mabel's Labels! 20% of your purchase will come back to Sunnyside. When shopping, click on Support a Fundraiser and search "Sunnyside Elementary School PAC" before purchasing.

It's not just labels! They now have masks and comfy scarf masks for children and adults, wall decals, decals for cars and windows, and dry-erase calendars that can all be personalized.

The PAC has an Express account at the Return-It Depot. Put all your refundable containers, cans, and bottles in a clear plastic bag, retrieve a sticker label from the self-serve kiosk at the depot, stick it to the bag, and drop it in the bin.
