Message from the pac chair
Join the PAC! At our June AGM we vote for all the PAC executives for the following school year. Some of the current members are willing to run again, however I, the PAC Chair, and Donna, the Hot Lunch Coordinator, will be stepping down. The current PAC has streamlined processes, and always work as a team to run events and fundraisers.
I'd be happy to meet with anyone interested to explain more about the roles. It's a great way to have a lasting effect on your child's time here at Sunnyside.
Stapleton Sausage Co. was a big hit at our Fun Fair last June! Now you can buy fresh, local sausage for your family with this fundraiser, and 35% of all the proceeds will come back to Sunnyside. All orders are due by Wednesday, February 13. Pick up is at school on Wednesday, March 6.
Crossing Guard Job opportunity
Sunnyside has been approved for a Crossing Guard during drop off and pick up, organized by The Legion of Frontiersmen.
They are having a difficult time filling the position, so we are reaching out to our community. If you know someone who would be perfect for this part-time position, and would like more info, please contact Debra Parks.
Take a stand against bullying, and show your support by wearing pink. The PAC will be selling Pink Shirt Day bracelets for $2 each, on the morning of February 27. Proceeds help to fund the Pink Shirt Day Campaign.
Friday, March 8 is Movie Night at Sunnyside! Admission is free! Students are encouraged to bring a blanket to sit on the gym floor, while they enjoy a movie with their friends. There will be a few tables and chairs set up at the rear of the gym for parents. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
