Message from the pac president

Hello Sunnyside families! Can you believe it's already February? A notice was sent home the last week of January about volunteering for our May 2020 Fun Fair. In order to move forward with our plans, we need to secure a minimum of two parent/guardian volunteers per class for the event. If you are able to commit, please return the form by February 7. Thank you for your continued support of Sunnyside!

Mini snack bags of Kernels popcorn are on their way! The final day to submit an order for all three delivery dates is Monday, February 3 (can be dropped off at the front office until 2:30 PM), using the take-home notice. They will be delivered directly to the classrooms on February 26, March 4, and March 11. It's a fun and tasty way to raise funds for Sunnyside.

Special thanks to Ms. Robb and the students of Division 8 for organizing this fundraiser.

Tuesday, February 18 is Pizza Day at Blaze! Blaze Pizza will donate 20% of the proceeds from your meal to Sunnyside, if a copy of the notice (paper or digital) is presented before paying.

Applies to eat-in or take-out meals between 3 and 8 pm at their Grandview Corners location. *Does not include online or phone in orders.

The students love our annual Fun Fair, and it raises much needed funds for Sunnyside, but we need your help to run the event. We require approximately 100 parents/guardians to help with set up, manage lineups at games, give out prizes, and clean up at the end of the event. All shifts are 2 hours long, and run between 1 and 9pm. Friday, February 7 is the deadline to submit your commitment to volunteer, via the Notice.

Frozen II is coming to Sunnyside! We are excited to host a family movie night on Friday, March 6 in the school gym. Admission is free! Doors open at 6 pm and the movie will begin at 6:30 pm.

Pizza, popcorn, treats, and drinks will be available for purchase. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

A big thank you to The Chopped Leaf, Morgan Crossing, for supporting our January healthy habits fundraiser. They were able to generously donate $125 toward our fundraising efforts.

The students love hot lunch days, parents love getting a day off from making a lunch, and it's one of our biggest fundraisers, so order today! Online ordering for February and March is still open.

Hot lunch is run entirely by volunteers, and we need help weekly. Visit the hot lunch page of our PAC website or Contact Colleen, our hot lunch coordinator, for more information.

Are your refundable bottles, cans, and juice boxes piling up? The PAC has an Express account at the Return-It Depot. Place all refundable containers in a clear, plastic bag. Print a label from the kiosk, stick the label to the bag, and drop the bag into the bin. The Sunnyside PAC account # is 888-888-8888. It's quick and easy; no sorting necessary!

A friendly reminder that your children must be able to unbuckle themselves and exit the car on their own to be able to use the Kiss and Go. Please do not park and wait in your vehicle during drop off, as it impedes traffic flow.

During pick-up, you are welcome to wait in your car, but kindly begin the queue at the front of the line (closest to 159 St). Please do not leave your vehicle.
