Message from the pac chair

I can't believe it's already May! The Fun Fair, our biggest event of the year, is on the 31st. The PAC has been busy planning all year, and now we're looking for volunteers to help make it a tremendous success! We added some exciting new rides, games, and prizes for kids of all ages to enjoy. It takes an army to thrive, so please consider signing up today.

As we approach the end of the school year, we would like to encourage parents to join the PAC. All positions are open to parents who want to support our students, our teachers, and our school. It's minimal hours with maximum payoff for our children.

Wayne

Come join us on Friday, May 31 for our 5th annual Fun Fair! It is an outdoor school and community event, featuring inflatable rides and bouncy castles, games, the $1000 raffle draw, an impressive silent auction, raffle baskets, prizes, food, and more. It's all happening on our school gravel field.

The Fun Fair is run entirely by volunteers and we need your help. Sign up for 4 hours and receive 1 FREE punch card worth $10! Set up begins at 2pm, and clean up ends at 9pm. Please sign up online and be part of the festivities.

class Baskets

Thank you for contributing to your Fun Fair class basket! They will be used for either the silent auction or the kid's raffle. Cash donations and donations of new items are equally appreciated. Please send all donations by Friday, May 17, to allow time for our volunteers to create the baskets.

Punch cards are required to play all the games and rides at the Fun Fair, including the cupcake walk, glitter tattoos, and face painting. Purchase by May 24 and save up to 28%! Pay by cash or cheque using the take-home notice, or by credit card online. They can also be purchased for $10 each at the Fun Fair.

*They can not be used to buy food, snacks, or drinks.

Enter for a chance to win $1000! Students will soon be coming home with a book of raffle tickets to sell. Each book has 12 tickets, the tickets are $2 each, or 3 for $5, and only 10,200 tickets were printed, so the odds of winning are great.

A big thank you to Kevin Basran (Re/Max) for donating the prize money.

The cupcake walk is a fun game of musical chairs, with cupcakes (and cookies) as the prizes! It's a popular game with the kids, and we need your help to provide the tasty prizes. Please sign up online to donate cupcakes or cookies.

All parents of students registered at Sunnyside for the 2019/20 school year are welcome to join. To learn more about the roles and responsibilities of members of the PAC executive, contact us at info@sunnysidepac.ca or consult the Call for Nominations Notice.

This year's AGM will be on Tuesday, June 11 at 6pm, in the school library.
