Message from the pac chair

Christmas came early in the form of a new playground! We have fun events planned for the month, helping us get into the spirit of giving. We encourage you to stop and wish each other the very best this season has to offer.

We, on the PAC exec, also want to thank those of you who have stepped up and helped us this year. Let's enjoy this special time together as we look forward to the new year and new beginnings.

The annual family pancake breakfast, benefitting Sources Food Bank, is on Friday, December 14 from 7:15 to 8:45 am. We would love to see you all there bright and early, in your jammies! Admission is $3/person, with all proceeds going to the food bank. Special thanks to corporate sponsors, Superstore and Starbucks.

Volunteer opportunities available from 6:45 to 9:45 am. Please sign up online at: Volunteer sign Up

The Surrey Eagles game and the annual Teddy Bear toss is Saturday, December 8, at 7pm at the South Surrey Arena. Tickets are $10 per person and they are available for purchase until Monday, December 3. They will be delivered to the students on Wednesday, December 5.

The Surrey Eagles Junior A Hockey Club is contributing $5 from every ticket back to Sunnyside.

The new F.A.S.T. emergency kits have arrived. We are meeting on Wednesday, December 5 after drop off to replenish and organize the emergency bunker. If you would like to help, please contact the PAC at info@sunnysidepac.ca.

The chocolates are on their way! We have an expected delivery date of December 12, just in time for the holidays. Purdys is donating 25% of the proceeds from our purchases back to Sunnyside. Thank you for supporting our school!

We are thrilled that after years of school fundraisers, and with the help of several generous corporate sponsors, our students are days away from having a beautiful, new playground to enjoy.

We will have an official celebration to recognize and thank all our sponsors during the month of March, 2019.

Place all orders online at Munch a Lunch. Volunteer during your lunch hour and surprise your child at school! Here are the Hot Lunch sign-up sheets for: December 7, December 14, December 17, and December 21.

Our goal is to keep our children safe, and we need volunteers to keep the program running on a daily basis. Kiss and Drop benefits students being dropped off, as well as students walking to and from school.

Consider signing up online and giving 20 minutes of your time.

Thank you to all who attended Pizza Night at Blaze on November 8! Blaze Pizza donated 20% of the proceeds back to Sunnyside, raising a total of $245.60.

The PAC has an Express account at the Return-It Depot. Simply put all your refundable containers in a clear, plastic bag and drop it off at any Express Return-It. Our account/phone # is 888-888-8888.
