Hello Sunnyside Families,
Can you believe it’s November already? I hope you have all been enjoying the amazing weather and an extra hour of sleep this past weekend. I would like to thank all the parents and students who helped make our Howl-O-ween Dance a huge success. It was so much fun to see all of the wonderful costumes, and to see everyone having a good time. The cleanup crew set a record by having the gym ready for use again in 32 minutes. Amazing!
Keep an eye out for your spirit wear orders arriving soon. This week, we will also be sharing information about our upcoming Purdys and Menchie's fundraisers. Thank you for continuing to support Sunnyside!

Treat your loved ones (and yourself!) to gourmet chocolate from Purdys, Canada's favourite chocolatier. Purdys gives 25% of the sales back to Sunnyside, creating a big opportunity to raise funds! A catalogue will be sent home with each student this week. To order, use the Purdys website, group code #21766, or fill in the paper order form inside the catalogue.
Orders are due Monday, November 25, with an expected delivery date of December 9, just in time for the holidays.
Monday, November 18 is Menchie's Monday for Sunnysiders! Enjoy a delicious frozen yogurt while raising money. Say "Sunnyside" when completing your purchase, and 20% will come back to our school!
This is an all-day event at their Morgan Crossing location. Menchie's hours of operation are from 11:30 am to 10 pm.
Show your school spirit with Sunnyside spirit wear! The Sunnyside t-shirts and hoodies are on their way. We are anticipating a delivery date of November 12, but we will post a message on the App and our website as soon as it's official.
The Surrey Montessori Society (SMS) AGM will be held at Latimer Road Elementary on Thursday, November 14 at 7pm. All parents and guardians are welcome to attend. Come and see how you can support Sunnyside's Montessori program both at school and at home. Doors will open at 6:30 and refreshments will be served.

The students love it, and it's one of our biggest fundraisers, so don’t miss out! Orders and payment are due 10 days prior to the lunch date.
Hot lunch is run entirely by volunteers and we need help weekly to set up the bins, sort the meals, snacks, and drinks. Contact Colleen, our hot lunch volunteer, or visit the hot lunch page of our PAC website if you would like more information.
The Kiss and Go has been relocated to the upper parking lot. A friendly reminder that your child must be able to unbuckle and exit the car independently, from the passenger's side, due to passing traffic on the driver's side. During pick-up, you are welcome to wait within your car, but kindly begin the queue at the front of the line (closest to 159 St). Please do not leave your vehicle unattended.
We are seeking parents to help for approximately 15 minutes daily during pick up, throughout the month of November, to ensure our K&G is running safely and efficiently. For more info, contact volunteer@sunnysidepac.ca.
The PAC has an Express account at the Return-It Depot. Place all your refundable containers in a clear, plastic bag. Use the kiosk at the Depot to print a label, stick the label to the bag, and drop the bag into the bin. The Sunnyside account/phone # is 888-888-8888. It's quick and easy!

Simply let the retailer know that you are with Sunnyside, and 5% of your sales will be sent back to us at the end of the school year!

- Download the Joseph Richard Group (JRG) Rewards App from the Apple Store or Google Play.
- Open the app and register for an account or Sign In (existing users).
- Once signed in, click Settings and select JOIN A GROUP.
- Search and join Sunnyside Elementary from the drop down menu.
- Dine out and start using the app to earn fundraising dollars for Sunnyside!
