Message from the pac president
Happy Holidays Sunnyside families!
December is a time for spreading joy and spending time with family and friends. On Friday, December 13, we will be hosting our favourite charity fundraiser; a Family Pancake Breakfast in support of Sources Food Bank. It will be held in the school gym from 7:30 to 9 am. The doors will be open at 7:15 am, to allow families to settle in. We hope to see you all there! We will need your help to make this a fantastic breakfast for all our children to enjoy. Please consider signing up to help today!

Our annual family pancake breakfast, is on December 13 from 7:30 to 9:00 am. Admission is $5/person, payable in cash at the event. Half the proceeds will be donated to Sources Food Bank. We will be cooking and serving pancakes with syrup, juice, water, Starbucks coffee and hot chocolate. New this year is a festive toppings bar with whipped cream, sprinkles, chocolate chips, and more!
We would love your help! Volunteer opportunities available from 6:45 to 9:45 am. We will also need some parents to help set up the gym after the evening presentation of the Holiday Moosical on Thursday, December 12. Please sign up online at: Pancake Breakfast Volunteers. Thank you!

The holidays are going to be very sweet for Sunnysiders! We had a record year, surpassing our $8000 goal, and raising just over $2000! Thank you for all your support!
The chocolates are on their way! We have an expected delivery date of December 6, and we will communicate to you all via the Sunnyside App as soon as they are ready for pick up in the PAC room. Smaller orders will be delivered to the classroom.
The PAC has teamed up with the popular Canadian label maker Oliver's Labels. The lost and found bins are always overflowing with articles, and a label can make a big difference. You can even add a moji or a selfie to the label with MyMoji™ Little Hero Labels!
20% of your purchase will come back to Sunnyside! Feel free to share the referral link: www.oliverslabels.com/sunnysidepac. This is an ongoing fundraiser, allowing you to purchase throughout the year.
The Surrey Eagles game and the annual Teddy Bear toss is Friday, December 20, at 7pm at the South Surrey Arena. We have a section of the stands reserved for Sunnyside families, so everyone will be able to sit and cheer on the Eagles together! Notices will be sent home this week. Tickets are $10 per person and they are available for purchase until Monday, December 16. They will be delivered to all students by Wednesday, December 18.
A big thank you to The Surrey Eagles Junior A Hockey Club for contributing $5 from every ticket back to Sunnyside!
The second order of Sunnyside t-shirts and hoodies are on their way. We are anticipating a delivery date of the week of December 9, but we will post a message on the Sunnyside App as soon as it's official. We've been assured they will arrive before the winter break.
The students love it, and it's one of our biggest fundraisers, so don’t miss out! Orders and payment are due 10 days prior to the lunch date.
Hot lunch is run entirely by volunteers and we need help weekly to set up the bins, sort the meals, snacks, and drinks. Contact Colleen, our hot lunch volunteer, or visit the hot lunch page of our PAC website to sign up, or if you would like more information.
A friendly reminder that your child must be able to unbuckle themselves and exit the car safely to be able to use the Kiss and Go. Please do not park and wait in your vehicle during drop off, as it impedes traffic flow.
During pick-up, you are welcome to wait in your car, but kindly begin the queue at the front of the line (closest to 159 St), and do not leave your vehicle.
The PAC has an Express account at the Return-It Depot. Place all your refundable containers in a clear, plastic bag. Use the kiosk at the Depot to print a label, stick the label to the bag, and drop the bag into the bin. The Sunnyside account/phone # is 888-888-8888. It's quick and easy!

- Download the Joseph Richard Group (JRG) Rewards App from the Apple Store or Google Play.
- Open the app and register for an account or Sign In (existing users).
- Once signed in, click Settings and select JOIN A GROUP.
- Search and join Sunnyside Elementary from the drop down menu.
- Dine out and start using the app to earn fundraising dollars for Sunnyside!
