In instrumentation and pressure measurement, pressure gauges are categorized based on their reference point (what zero represents) or their internal operating mechanism.
A gauge pressure (positive pressure) measures pressure above atmopsheric pressure, reading 0 if open to the surrounding environment, with its reference point (labeled 0) as the local atmospheric pressure 1 atm = 101.3 kPa = 14.7 PSI. It's essential the default/regular gauge as its values are arrenged like standard instruments, with its 0 at the lowest point and no special features typically.
E.g., Tire pressure, boiler tanks, compressed air lines.

[2.1] In a gauge pressure, we calculate how much measured value is more than the atmospheric pressure.
E.g., if 40 PSI is read, this means that it measures it's 40 PSI above the atmospheric pressure at that location.
[2.1] An absolute pressure gauge measures total pressure including atmospheric pressure, with its reference point at perfect vacuum (0 Pa and PSI). E.g., barometers, altimeters, distillation column).

A vacuum/negative gauge measures pressure below atmospheric pressure (negative pressure/suction), with its reference point also as the local atmospheric pressure.
E.g., Vacuum pumps, suction systems, intake manifolds.
A vacuum gauge can be identified from its negative values and with 0 as the highest value. I.e., values decrease below zero. It can often measure inHg (inches of mercury).
Thus, at atmospheric pressure (if exposed to room air without applied vacuum), a vacuum gauge points counterclockwise, to 0.
A compound/combination gauge measures both positive pressure and vacuum on a single dial (e.g., -39 Hg to +30 PSI), with its reference point at local atmospheric pressure.
E.g., Refrigeration/HVAC systems, engine tuning.
A differential pressure gauge measures the pressure difference between 2 points, with its reference point as the second process port (P1 - P2)

In gauges, a minor division or just "minor" is the smallest interval between 2 adjacent tick marks on a scale. A major division is the longer, numbered marks (labeled 0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0 bar in this case).
To determine the value of a minor We must count the number of spaces/intervals in a larger interval.
E.g., in the case of this gauge, we can count from 0 to 0,1 mbar, which has 5 intervals between them.
Note: Count 1 more time upon counting to the final value's point. In this case, there's a 5th interval (in yellow) that should be included right after 0,1 mbar.
A minor on this pressure gauge is 0,1/5 = 0,02 mbar.
