Climate change
This video shows the modern-day rise in CO2 measured globally, with measurements compared to the ice record in Antarctica, dating back 800,000 years. The final graph is very telling concerning anthropogenically related release of carbon dioxide to earth's atmosphere.
Methane is another major player. The quantity of methane released into the atmosphere is nowhere near the amount of CO2, but because of its high Global Warming Potential it is a very potent greenhouse gas. Methane occurs both naturally and is released through human influences.
