Multiplexer

A multiplexer (MUX) is a device choosing one of many input signals and forwards it to a 1 output line, acting like a digital switch combining many data streams into 1, for efficient communication use and processing resources. The selection of which input signal is sent to output is controlled by a separate set of digital inputs called select lines.
