Crocodile/Alligator clips are metal clips to measure electrical cable to a lead on a battery/other electrical components (e.g. resistors)
and can detach/attach on cables (img1).

Romex is the trade name for a type of electrical conductor with non-metallic sheathing that is commonly used as residential branch wiring.
transformers' symbols
A transformer is a device transfering electrical energy among circuits. They increase/decrease voltage, but don't change AC frequency.
[7] Transformers' main purpose is to convert power from low to high voltage of the power plant, and lower it back down for distribution.
E.g. A thermal energy plant use steam to spin a turbine of a generator to translate mechanical energy from spinning turbine into eletric energy. Such procss makes lots of energy, but at low voltage.
So power must be transformed to high voltage for transmission.
All power plants have have 1+ step-up transformer boosting voltage for power to go in long distances. At its destination, power is converted back into to low voltage for use by another transformer.
Federal pioneers at Algonquin College
A federal pioneer is an electrical equipment, often for circuit breakers, load centers, electrical panels, and for residential/commercial/industrial uses.

[8] A power supply is an electrical device supplying power to a load. Its main purpose is to convert current from a source to the correct voltage, current, and frequency to power the load--so they're at times called electric power converters.
