Use the 1st EMT to wire the split receptacles--the 1st or a switch box of the EMT.
1. The live side's tab is broken off so we made it a split receptacle, with a double breaker from the breaker panel double 15 amp breaker and go through the EMT.
2. Grnd wire goes from the receptacle to the receptacle box's back.
3. A neutral wire goes from the receptacle's silver screw to the fuse panel's neutral part.
A black wire from a side of the double 15 amp breaker and to a side of the receptacle.
A red wire from the unused terminal of the breaker to
the split's unused terminal of receptacle.
Now turn on the power to test the circuit.
Note: Use the proper test leads and high voltage gloves.
Be very cautious if you test the split receptacle on the live side the 2 screws with 208 V in or 240 V in a house if we put test leads on them Many have 2 test leads touch each touch the 2 screws together or 1 test lead touch 2 screws together, causing a direct short circuit on the power lines--often blowing the test leads apart or melt.
