I've played Ragnarok M: Eternal Love on Global since late February of 2018, just a month after the initial release. Had I know about this sooner I'd have started on release day. I largely ignored the advice of others for the first few months, ignoring guilds and rerolling classes wondering why every class was so weak. This was not the Ragnarok Online I remembered as a kid and though I was at first disappointed, I'm simply blown away by how much more this game has to offer once I started listening to others and finally grew to the point where I could farm efficiently in the high 90's.

Since then I've only ever leveled with zenny in mind, always wearing gear to reduce the amount of base exp gained to maximize farm time. I don't run other accounts to abuse group hunting though I did toy with this for about a week before I abandoned it, I farm exclusively on my own. I've seen a few guild mates get banned for this but others in the guild still make a fortune using theirs for group hunting, I simply chose not to imbibe in this.

I've been through all the patches and have enjoyed all the new classes, content, and quality of life (QOL) patches. I loved the introduction of the new Doram class that I never saw in iRO, watched people prophesize the end of this game because of nerfs to mana trap on rogues, and was shocked by the sudden announcement and full release of fourth job for all 15 classes at the same time, something I expected to come in waves.

No I'm not some crazy strong whale but I have invested some money, though it's mostly been time, tons of time. I was completely F2P for about 6 months before I bought anything, starting with other jobs. I only buy when BCC it's doubled which only refreshes when major patches go live so at this point I've probably spent about $400-$500 USD in total on this game, much more than I thought I would. As long as you hang onto it and only buy what you really need a little BCC will go a long ways. Since this game has largely kept my attention it's diverted me from spending on games through steam so I feel like it's fair, however I've written this guide aimed towards F2P progress so understand that you do not need to pay for anything to enjoy this game, money mainly speeds up your progress.

Ok, but who are you really?
