Cloudsea Archipelago

Overview

Cloudsea Archipelago is a new zone where you'll make NPC friends who live there. They will offer facilities that you will upgrade using materials farmed out in Comodo and Fantasy Land zones to increase your stats and drop rates in these zones.

Unlocking

After reaching base level 150, a quest should be available in Prontera that will take you to Comodo and lead you to the Book of Fantasy on the docks. The quest will transfer you to Dream City. Following it further will eventually land you in Cloudsea Archipelago and will unlock your first resident.

Upgrading Facilities

Materials to upgrade facilities are farmed in the Fantasy Land zones so find good farming spots out there from mobs that drop the materials you need for a given facility and farm away!

Affection Levels

Each townsfolk has their own affection level that can be viewed by opening your Manor book. This book is accessed by first zoning into Cloudsea Archipelago, then clicking on the Manor book at the top right of your screen next to the mini map.

The affection level is gauged by the number of hearts on each villager like the example shown below. Certain levels of affection unlock quests for features or show purple gift icons that indicate that they will give you a Dream Come True coin which is used at the Dream Tune gacha machine in this zone.

Affection Level Example

Location of Manor Book

Affection may be raised by varying methods depending on the townsperson. Some like the Chef want to have cooking battles against you, others like Hakiki will challenge you to a foot race. Alternatively, you can do this much easier by unlocking and obtaining several gift items to raise their affection. You can tell which gift item that they want by looking at their Hobbies in the Manor book. In the above example with Hakiki, it says he likes Fleshy Bone.

Most of these gifts are locked so to unlock them you're first going to have to unlock the Alert Gondola facility. This gives you the ability to dispatch townsfolk on missions. Each townsperson has a favorite piece of gear that when sent on a specific mission with that gear, may return with one of these gift items and will unlock the ability for you to buy it at the Treasure Box Shop.

In the example to the right I sent Sajaja out with a Crossbow to Sweet Dream Field. Below it shows it has a chance to return a Wrench. The checkmark over this icon indicates that I have already unlocked the ability to buy this but Sajaja may come back with a free one. IF you need the wrench unlocked to raise affection with Agaga then this is how you get it. Remember, unlocks come from townsfolk, gear, and a specific area. Make sure you send them to the right place with the right gear.

If you want to max out your affection with each villager then you'll need to unlock all gear from the Mead Fountain Post facility.

Bonds

Selecting a villager and swiping down on the right side will show various bonds that townsperson has with others. These are passive bonuses to your facilities and even drops in these new zones so unlocking all the NPCs will grant you all of these bonuses.

Example of the bonds Hakiki has with other townsfolk

Video Guides

I found a few good video guides by ROM Nesi that walk you through the unlocking process and highlight quests along the way. Take a look for more details as I have abbreviated on what needs to be done here. She has many other videos for ROM that you may also find useful on her channel: www.youtube.com/channel/UCS2nsuFDKFly9liYSrCu1bA
