Adventure Handbook

Collect all the things!

Your adventure handbook is now automatically unlocked as create your first character and go through the tutorial.  This is a critical part of character growth and provides you with several things to do throughout your journey.

You may open the handbook anytime by clicking on the More button at the top right of your screen and selecting Adventure Handbook.

Accessing your Adventure Handbook

Opening the book brings you to the cover page of the book which summarizes your stat gains and achievements within the handbook.

The left side provides you with your adventure level, and grand totals from all categories.  There is also a "One-tap Activate" button that will update any stat gains in your adventure handbook, indicated by the red dots on the tabs on the right.  This can be very handy when you craft a bunch of stuff and discover lots of new things since you can update the handbook in one click.

The right side lets you see these totals broken down by category.  You can scroll (swipe) down further for more categories.  Click the attribute button on the right side in any category to see these totals.

You can also click on any of the tabs on the far right side to dive deeper into each category.  You can even scroll (swipe) through these tabs as there are several more below the ones you currently see.

Starting from the second tab on the right side of the screen, the monster tab shows the monsters in each area.  If the monster icon is grey then you haven’t killed one yet.  The monster will have a blue camera icon in the bottom right of their portrait to indicate that you've taken a picture of that monster.

You’ll want to kill and photograph every monster in order to fill up this album.  Each entry into your handbook gives you adventure experience to level up your adventure rank with.

You’ll also notice an orange present icon to the right of the zone name that the monsters are in.  Two of them I've already opened in this example and the other I had not finished yet. Taking pictures and killing all creature in each area gives you some free stuff via this orange present icon so tap this to receive your rewards.  The NPC collection tab also rewards you when each zone is completed..

The third tab down is “Headwear” which shows any head, face, mouth, back, or tail gear that you’ve crafted and/or deposited into the handbook.  In the case below, the clown nose is giving me -2% Dark Damage Taken because I’ve crafted it but also another +6 attack for depositing it into the handbook.

These stats are account wide!  In global right now I’ve heard the total attack obtainable is over 3000, that’s insane!  There are thousands of things to collect and each of them will give you stats for obtaining it and even more for depositing it into the handbook.

You’re going to want to craft and deposit several “Headwear” type items into this handbook.  You may remove these items from the handbook at any time to use and put back whenever you’re done with them but deposit bonuses are only in effect while stored in the handbook.

There are plenty of inexpensive headwear's to craft so look around for cheap headwear starting with Eden Smile shops.  These offer blueprints to craft headwear using Eden Coins and some cheap materials.  Be sure to start on this sooner than later since attack and magic attack are just as valuable as they are on equipment so these sources are fantastic ways to boost your base damage.

Cheap Adventure Handbook Deposits

Head back into your adventure handbook and scroll further down on the right side and select the Card icon to see your card collection.  These also have bonuses when deposited into the handbook as well as bonuses when first looted or obtained from King Poring.

Speaking of King Poring, this is an NPC in Prontera that allows you to combine 3 cards into a random new card.  Doing this gives you the unlock for whatever card you manage to get so you can obtain a lot of unlocks this way without having to farm specific creatures.  Early on this will seem unlikely for F2P since you’ve probably never even seen a card but you’ll soon be rerolling duplicates once you're farming mobs at a great pace.

You’ll notice on the left side of the screen in this example that the Bongun Card has a unique deposit bonus that's not just a stat increase. There are are few cards that add unique bonuses such as this so look around, you may be pleasantly surprised.

There are several other sources of permanent stats in this handbook other than the ones I’ve shown such as Cooking, Furniture, Pets, Toys, Titles, and more.  You’re going to want to collect everything you can get your hands on.

I will hammer this into you but it's for your own good so trust me, do not neglect your adventure handbook!
