Accessing the Enchanting Interface

There are several ways to access enchanting now.  These are:

Accessing Enchanting from your Bag

If you've already built your home and ranked it up to 10 then always enchant at your house to save 10% zeny, otherwise simply open your inventory to do this.

Enchanting your Gear

Each attempt at advanced enchanting requires the following depending on the type of gear:

Most enchanting is done using Mora Coins since these are free and used on most of your gear.  You get these from daily quests from your assistant each day so be sure to complete these each day.  The Cat Friend NPC in Geffen also sells oracle dusts and crystals at a weekly limit so if you're looking to enchant these pieces then you can get more of these from here.

Once you decide to enchant a piece of gear click the Select button.  You will see the current enchantment on that gear on the right side as well as material costs and some other options that you may enable.

Clicking Enchant will roll a new set of enchantments shown on the left pane.  You can also tap on the x10 checkbox at the bottom right to enable roll 10 enchants at once so when you click Enchant 10 sets of enchantments will roll on the left pane.

From here you have a few options:

Closing out the screen will save the last enchantment result on the left pane so if you accidentally closed it after you saw something you meant to save you can open the interface back up and save that last enchant.

Notice that sometimes you'll see a pink or blue poring to the right of a stat.  A red poring indicates a high value and says Max if it rolls the maximum value.  A blue poring indicates a very low value.

You can influence your rolls by setting Mora Gold Coin's or Word Coupons in the Advanced Cost box.

Mora Gold Coins guarantee that all stats that roll are at least 50% of their lower limit.  If the item normally rolls attack between 8 and 40 then it will roll at least 24 attack if attack is rolled on the item.  These coins come from Sharing things (indicated by a floating gold coin icon)  for F2P players, several instances, and other sources are always worth your time to get as they can be also be exchanged for Word Coupons.

Word Coupons guarantee that a fourth enchant will be rolled.  Some coupons even guarantee rolls of a certain tier such as guaranteed Tier 3 rolls.  You still have to luck out on the enchant you're looking for but with enchantment transfers you can still move off a decent enchant onto another piece of gear for later use or to sell something that you've had a hard time trying to sell on the exchange.

Identifying Which Stats can Roll

All pieces of gear may be enchanted but each gear slot has a predefined list of stats and ranges to pull from.  For example, some pieces of gear can enchant Critical but body armors cannot.

To see what stats a piece of gear can roll, select your piece of gear, then click on the i button on the far right of the screen.  This will bring up the Enchantment Attribute List on the left side.  Stats that are grayed out cannot be obtained by that piece of gear.

Example of the attributes enchantable onto a Body Armor shown by tapping the i icon on the far right of the screen

As you scroll down the attributes list you'll eventually come to a section with some unique enchants that give large % bonuses to various things.  These are known as fourth enchants.  These are extremely rare and the bonus ranges from level 1 to level 4 with 4 being the largest bonus.  For example, a level 4 Insight gives 20% Ignore MDef but a level 1 only gives 5% Ignore MDef.

Example of the fourth enchants obtainable by Backpieces listed at the bottom of the attribute list

These are extremely rare, especially to get a level 3 or 4 enchant.  You can roll hundreds of times and never see one.

Therefore, early on your goal is to get decent rolls (25+) on every piece of gear for attack/matk or a good physical damage increase roll (3%+) if you're a physical class.  Headwear slots can roll up to 60 attack/matk so feel free to push those further as you get free oracle dusts and crystals from events.

Once you have decent rolls on every piece then either pick the lowest piece and try to get a better enchant, or pick a piece that could roll an amazing 4th enchant for your class.  With 12 slots, having just 25 attack on every piece of gear will give you 300 more attack, half of the raw attack you’d get from a synth weapon.

Transfering Enchantments

You can transfer a good enchantment to another piece of equipment at a cost.  The methods of doing this differ depending on if you're doing this to headwear or ancient equipment.  Yes, this means you cannot transfer enchantments to normal/synthesized equipment which currently includes weapons.

Headwear

You may transfer enchantments off of headwear obtained from the Fantasy Generator I machine, the one that consumes blue slips for free attempts.  You don't have to pull it from the blue slip machine originally, you can get it from the Time Wish Gachapon later and still transfer enchantments so long as it was originally offered via the blue slip gachapon.

To do this, head to the Cat Friend NPC and open up his Enchant Shop.  There you may buy a Headwear Magic extractors using either 40 Oracle Dust or 20 Oracle Crystals.  Once you buy this, open your bags and use it.  Then select the piece that contains the enchant you want to transfer, and the target to transfer to.

In the example to the right, I've chosen to transfer the enchants off of the Encomiast's Movement book backpiece to the Thunder Taiko backpiece.

Please note, all fourth enchants require the item to be refined to +6 for that bonus to activate.  As a reminder, fourth enchant is the fourth line on the enchantment listed which is very rare and most likely the only type of enchant you'll want to transfer though you can sometimes roll something with very high crit damage, attack, and %HP that you may want to reuse.

Example of headwear transfer

Ancient Equipment

You may also transfer enchantments from a piece of gear to a piece of Ancient Equipment that matches that slot.  What this means is if you have a Rosa Bracelet with a fourth enchant for Penetration then you can only transfer this to an Ancient Equipment Offhand since Rosa Bracelet is an offhand.  The target gear must be piece of ancient equipment so you cant transfer enchantments onto synthesis equipment such as a Heaven's sword.

To perform this type of transfer open your enchanting interface and tap on the Enchanting Transfer icon on the far right.  Select the piece of gear you want to transfer from, then select the target and click Shifting.

This costs a whopping 400 Mora Coins to perform!

Enhancement Material Shop

The enchant shop sells various materials used for enhancing such as Mora Coins, Enchantment Crystals, Oracle Dusts, Oracle Powders, and repair shards.

You can access the shop by either going to the cat in Geffen, or right from the Enchanting screen using the tall icon at the bottom right of the screen.

Some of the items have weekly limits though you'll see the same item offered at higher prices as you buy these items out.  The Enchantment Crystals in particular are great since they can be exchanged for slips that guarantee a fourth enchant on a slot of your choice, including a box of random enchantments that are guaranteed to be between tiers 2 and 4.

To access this exchange shop navigate to the currencies tab of your bags and use this item from your list of currencies to bring up this shop.
