MVP/MINI Mechanics
Note that not all MVP/MINI will be covered. This mainly covers ones with mechanics that will kill you if you are unaware of them.
This is intended for players who are unfamiliar with these bosses and their mechanics.
MVP's
Bloody Murderer
Summary
Fiere melee MVP with some strong up front AoE that's extremely deadly at low HP.
Notable Abilities
Bloodlust - When HP is low increases damage dealt by 100% for 200 seconds
Slow - Immobilizes the enemy, rendering them unable to move
Concentration - Grants immunity to all taunts every once in a while
Cyclone Slash - Strong AoE whirlwind attack that lasts for 4 seconds
Blood Plague - Unleashes a plague that deals damage to players within 4 meters that lasts for 15 seconds
Blood Worm Minions - Slows you and can self destruct, though this is very weak the slow can get you killed
Strategy
Can be very dangerous up close so ranged classes are advised
Bloodlust can easily kill and lasts for a very long time so save your burst damage for the last 10% if you have any
Endure will help you avoid the snare effect of slow for any Knights or those lucky enough to have an Eddga * Card
If you're very lucky or a whale then the Moonlight Flower * Card will make you immune to the move speed reductions
Wolf Grandma
Summary
This boss can quickly strip you down and destroy you if you're not careful. Thankfully you can one-shot this if you're strong enough but if not then you have some very annoying mechanics to contend with.
Notable Abilities
Wolf Strike - Grants the caster and nearby players 10 seconds of physical and magic reflection
Sharp Claw - Break a random piece of equipment on the target
Concentration - Grants immunity to all taunts every once in a while
Intimidate - Changes the casters from significantly increasing attack speed but slowing wolf grandma by 50%
Crazed Strike - Can only be used while under the effects of Intimidate. Deals deadly damage to players in front of the caster.
Strategy
Watch for Wolf Strike so you don't kill yourself via reflection
Crazed strike can easily wipe you out so keep away from wolf grandma when Intimidate is up
Sometimes she will break tons of equipment at once
Find gear or ancient equipment to reduce or eliminate the chances of gear breaking
Bring repair alloys and use the adventure skill Stay Calm to repair your gear
Note that this has a 1 second cooldown so back away as you do this if several pieces of gear are broken
Dark Sniper Devine
Summary
This archer is pretty strong but her minion will quickly dispatch your group if you're unprepared. Be sure to focus down the minion ASAP!
Notable Abilities
Super Claymore Trap - LAys 4 claymores at random locations 9 meters around the caster. Deals strong fire magic damage.
Hunting Assault - AoE physical damage attack that can stun
Dark Whitesmith Howard - Minion that spawns when you engage
Passive - While alive grants Devine extreme damage reduction
Dark Traction - AoE physical damage gravity that pulls all enemies in and slows them
Super Hammerfall - Deals severe damage to enemies within 6 meters
Strategy
Devine takes very little damage while the minion is up so kill it first
The whitesmith is the real boss here as he can swiftly destroy your party if you're not careful
Will combo Dark Traction > Super Hammerfall which will easily delete your party
Stay away and spread out as best as you can to void getting a group of people pulled into his combo
Knights or those lucky enough to have an Eddga * Card can ignore the suck in effect making this easier to avoid being one-shot
Dark High Wizard Katerina
Summary
Casts several thunder, fire, and darkness spells and has a debuff that can significantly increase magic damage taken unless you remove it through a special mechanic.
Notable Abilities
Thundercall - Creates an AoE thundercloud that follows the player, continuously attacking players
Dark Meteor - Deals extreme dark magic damage to players in a large area after a 1 second cast
Thermal Radiation - Deals small fire magic damage to players within 9 meters while inflicting a debuff that increases magic dealt to players that can stack infinitely
Ice Shard - Hurls ice shards at a specified area dealing water magic damage to players in range and freezing the ground. Walking on frozen ground clears the debuff effects of Thermal Radiation
Vengeful Earth Spirit - Minion that spams magnum break, knocking you back
Strategy
Watch your Thermal Radiation stacks until you start to take heavy magic damage, then look for frozen ground to walk on to clear this effect
The minion hits very hard so steer clear or kil it ASAP if you have the damage
Try to spread out since thunderclouds can be devistating
Dark Assassin Cross Eremes
Summary
Assassin that summons several clones that synergize with poison status. Can AoE down the party quickly if you're caught off guard.
Notable Abilities
Poisonous Smoke Bomb - Releases poison smoke in an area that deals continuous physical poison damage and has a chance to inflict you with New Poison
Flash : Gathers power for 1 second then deals high physical damage to players in a 3x8 area in front of the caster
Darkest Dream - Immobilize a player and summon a Horong near them. This Horong will stay on this player until defeated and can stun you with Fear Strike.
Phantom Illusions - Summons 3 copies which have the following abilities:
Flash : Gathers power for 1 second then deals high physical damage to players in a 3x8 area in front of the caster
Poisoned Knife - Throws a knife at a player dealing a small amount of damage. If the target is poisoned this deals additional AoE damage
Strategy
The phantoms poison knife synergizes with the new poison status so stay out of the Poison Clouds and clear the poison effect ASAP since the AoE damage added by poisoned knife is very strong if left unchecked
Hill Wind
Summary
Mage that uses the stacking Electrify debuff effect to ramp up its damage. Preventing the minions from spawning is key to avoiding too many stacks of this debuff.
Notable Abilities
Electromag Explosion - Deals ranged damage to surrounding targets and repels them. Adds three stacks of Electrify status which reduces your Wind resistance and increases damage taken. Can be stacked up to 20 times!
Chain Overcharge - Launcher a lightning attack that bounces from target to target twice, dealing increased damage based on the number of stacks
Wind Spirit Armor - Final damage taken is reduced and can be stacked up to 5 times. 1 stack is restored every 2 seconds and when attacked, one stack is consumed.
Lightning Field - Summons three (3) storm beacons which can be removed by touching them. After a certain period of time these beacons summon a Storm Eye
Storm Eye - Uses Tow to pull enemies near you and apply a stack of Electrify and deals wind damage to random targets multiple times.
Strategy
Keep damage on the boss as much as possible to prevent it from getting high stacks of Wind Spirit Armor
Touch all the storm beacons you can to avoid them from spawning Storm Eye's
Put on some extra Wind resistance to help when you start accumulating a lot of Electrify stacks.
Gloom Under Night
Summary
Very strong boss that takes little to no damage without doing his mechanic. Can easily kill you before he even uses Dimension door.
Notable Abilities
Spirit Assimilation - Deals ghost damage to enemies, changing their armor to Ghost-type for a period of time
Hit and Run - Deals AoE damage to the target and afflicts them with Fear
Fire of Damnation - Deals AoE fire damage in a large AoE centered on the caster. The further away you are the less damage you take.
Dimension Door - Opens a nightmare node that summons two minions, either Agavs or Echios. When eliminated a stack of Dystopia is removed from Gloom Under Night
Dystopia - Each stack reduces final damage taken and final damage dealt. Can stack up to three times. A stack is restored every minute and stacks are stored to max after leaving the battle.
Strategy
Takes very little damage without removing Dystopia stacks through dimension door adds
Deals more damage when these stacks are removed so stay far away if you're ranged to avoid getting one-shot by Fire of Damnation
A Wizard or Slayer with a good Fire Guardian rune roll can absorb most of his damage up front making this an easy, yet long and boring fight, but be aware that removing stacks of Dystopia will make it harder to survive
Poi Tata
Summary
Applies stacks of the Neurotoxin Venom debuff to slow you and deal heavy damage. Must pick up skins to increase its damage taken.
Abilities
Curl Up - Deals AoE damage around you and stun after a 3 second cast time. More stacks of Wet Slippery Skin makes it deal less damage, but increases the stun duration
Paralyzing Venom - Deals AoE damage to the target after a 1.5 second cast time and adds a stack of Neurotoxin Venom
Illusive Rain - Deals AoE damage to the target and adds a stack of Neurotoxin Venom
Dreamland Bell - Casts 3 shockwaves with varying radius, each adding varying stacks of Neurotoxin Venom
Molt - Creates a Wet Snake Skin on the ground. Tap on this to pick it up and remove one stack of Wet Slippery Skin from Poi Tata.
Wet Slippery Skin Buff - Reduces damage taken and attack speed and can be stacked up to 5 times
Neurotoxin Venom - Each stack of this debuff reduces your move and attack speed by 10%. At 5 stacks you receive heavy damage.
Strategy
Pick up the Wet Slippery Skin when they spawn on the ground to increase his damage taken
Spread out to avoid the many sources of AoE damage that add stacks of Neurotoxin Venom
Snake Gorgons
Summary
Summons several snakes that inflict awful debuffs.
Abilities
Snake Shadow - Deals poison damage to nearby players and turns their weapon attribute to Poison for ten seconds
King Poison - Adds a layer of King Poison to the player. This causes the effects of 7-Step Poison, Deeper DMG Poison, and Magic Forbidden Poison (see below).
Snake Lure - Summons 2 Snake Nests that create Black Snakes, Vipers, or Green Serpents every so often
Black Snake - Inflicts 7-Step Poison, reducing your HP based on move distance
Viper - Inflicts Deepen DMG Poison which increases poison damage taken for 10 seconds
Green Serpent - Inflicts Magic Forbidden Poison which prohibits skill use for 5 seconds
Strategy
Deal with the nests as fast as possible to limit how many debuffs you receive as this can quickly spiral out of control
Bring poison resistance if possible
Wasteland Lord
Summary
Abilities
Blasphemy - Charge up to deal AoE damage to players around him. Every time a player is hit this skill will be released again.
Soul Segmentation - Create the minion Wasteland Lord's soul, reducing the bosses HP but increasing the bosses damage reduction
Soul Explosion - Deals dark AoE damage to nearby targets while restoring its HP
Destruction Light - Deals heavy dark damage to nearby targets
Soul Shard - Creates three (3) Soul Shards on the ground around the boss. Picking these up reduces its damage dealt while reducing its max HP.
Wasteland Lord's Soul - a minion that casts the following spells:
Holy Light Baptism - Deals AoE holy damage around the target increasing dark damage taken
Essence Body - Returns to wasteland lord, restoring HP and increasing attack. This will also force Wasteland Lord to unleash Blasphemy.
Strategy
Spread out! Blasphemy casts again for every target hit so if you're clumped up everyone will die.
Bring darkness resistance if possible
Pick up the Soul Shards when they spawn to significantly weaken it
MINI's
Clock
Summary
Clock always reflects damage so the harder you hit the quicker you die. You'll easily one-shot yourself against this guy at any point.
Strategy
Bring a friend with Ygg leaves or a res spell while you kill it
Pets are allowed in all places (that I know of...) where you'll encounter clock so use either Obune or Osiris to raise you when you die
If you're in clock tower trying to kill the one that spawns in the open world then you'll need a lot of these pets to get through the fight since MINI's can only take so much damage per hit in the field so this strategy is not feasible here
Flute Player
Summary
This guy spam summons minions that destroy your MP pool when they hit you, enough to deplete your MP in just two hits. The songs can be quite damaging as well and can be dangerous in an oracle run under the right circumstances.
Noteable Abilities
Lullaby - Puts nearby players to sleep for 30 seconds
Echoing Chord - Deals continuous damage to nearby players over ten seconds (it's like an aura)
Strategy
Bring a class with good AoE damage to keep the minions at bay or your your MP pool will disappear
Stay at range if possible to avoid the above skills
Loli Ruri
Summary
This annoying !@#$ has long duration spells that stun and knockback repeatedly, locking you down into a slow death. Easily one of the worst MINI to deal with unless you're fortunate enough to have a couple of MVP cards in your back pocket. Two or more of these in an oracle run can easily spell disaster when paired with another MINI.
Notable Abilities
Moon Guardian - Physical Damage immunity for 10 seconds
Light Guardian - Magic Damage immunity for 10 seconds
Moonlight Refraction - Deals continuous AoE damage to players between 1.5 and 3.5 meters from Loli and stunning them
Total Eclipse - Deals continuous dealing AoE damage to players between 4.5 and 6.5 meters from Loli, knocking them back
Circle of the Full Moon - Deals continuous AoE damage to players between 7.5 and 9.5 meters from Loli, knocking them back
Strategy
Bring both magic and physical damage to kill it faster as it alternates between immunities
Make sure everybody groups up to minimize the impact of these long duration ground auras that knockback/stun. Seriously, being spread out means she'll move between each of you and blanket the entire battlefield with this nonsense, especially if there are multiple Loli's
Open a chat room and turn auto attack on which is about the only way a F2P will not suffer through this fight. If you die you leave the chat room and you'll be stuck in perpetual knockback hell until you can open another room.
If you're lucky or a whale get your hands on an Orc Hero card and an Eddga card to avoid knockbacks and stuns, otherwise stack up and hope it dies quick!
Galion
Summary
Not as dangerous these days but has a move that can easily kill players that cannot one-shot this and minions that fear you into it constantly.
Notable Abilities
Blighted Domain - Does heavy damage but has a long cast time
Hungry Hyena - These minions spam fear
Strategy
Bring AoE to manage the minions so you don't have to deal with the fear
If you can't kill them fast enough then bring staunch clothes or a chosen's gown for fear immunity, otherwise run as much fear resistance as possible
Move out of Blighted Domain when you see Galion casting it
This will probably kill you unless you're very strong
The minions will fear you into this, hence wanting some fear resistance if possible.
Fallen Bishop
Summary
Pretty straight forward fight with one ability to be aware of.
Notable Abilities
Safety Wall - Immune to the next 7 sources of physical damage
Dark Assimilation - Dark AoE damage to surrounding enemies that absorbs HP but has a long cast time
Umbral Blow - Dark AoE damage that inflicts dark vulnerability
Strategy
Run away when you notice safety wall to pull him out of it if you're playing a single target ability class like Mechanic.
Auto attack classes can just brute force through this with all the attack speed
Dark resistance can help if you're not strong enough to kill quickly
