Events

Many events require level 12 and the monsters you fight take a set amount of damage such that pretty much anyone can participate, even if your very weak. Every month there are 1-3 events going on simultaneously. Unfortunately there will be no details about this in the game other than a picture that you can see in the Event screen with a grayed out details button. All event details are found on the global (or SEA) Facebook page or the new global website:

Always participate in events! They are tailored for low level characters, usually ranging from 12 to 20 minimum. Most events only allow one character to do these quests so be mindful that you do this on your main since the rewards are often gold medals which cannot be transferred to other characters.

Most events are split up into three or four different week long tasks such as:

  • Daily quest chain of 5 quests that gives a headwear blueprint at the end

  • Farm event where you kill several mobs that only spawn at a specific time of day that drop event specific currency

  • Daily quiz that rewards you for participating

  • Daily “psychic reading” that rewards you for participating

  • Daily gem donation which rewards for donating Aquamarine, Topaz, and/or Amethyst

  • Daily board quest, guild donation, or rift bonus

Most events offer event specific currency that you spend in an event shop that lets you buy things like gold medals, runes, headwear, and more. These are a godsend for new players so don’t ignore events, it’s a huge boost for new players.

Sometimes events offer special weeks such as double board quest reward week, double guild donation, and more. These will coincide with the above tasks so keep an eye out. The new event is usually posted on the Facebook page about a week before the month rolls over.

Example of Poring Showdown event in process this month

Most events have an “Event Puzzle” or “Poring Showdown” like shown above. On the bottom right you can missions In Process, Locked, Completed, or Missed. As you complete these you get free chests and sometimes even rewards at certain milestones such as finishing 9/9 event missions. Poring Showdown however requires you to obtain hammers from daily event tasks. Be sure to check "Event" button next to your assistant to see if either Event Puzzle or Poring Showdown show up. Event simply shows you the name of the event and timeframe, but sadly offers no information on the event.

Finally, these events usually offer 2 or 3 lucky boxes that can only be purchased for BCC, something for whales and dolphins. There are usually 1-5 new headwears and a mount within these but you can safely ignore this, none of them are required and typically just boost your adventure handbook stats.

New Events

Episode 8 brings new types of events unlike any I've seen in ROM before. I'm including them here since they may come over to us when Episode 8 (ROM 2.0) is released.

Poring Millionaire

Access this event by tapping Event at the top of the screen > Poring Millionaire

A "normal die" is generated every 3 hours and up to 5 can be stocked. Going to this screen and clicking the Die icon above the cat below will loot those dice. Once you've obtained some dice, click on the die at the bottom right to roll and move your "poring" around the board.

Various rewards are given such as zeny, praying card packs, mora coins, and more. There are also rewards when you complete "laps" around the board such as Nolan Cards, Headwear, and Gold Medals.

Poring Treasury

While I don't consider this an "event" it's accessed from the events menu in game. This allows you to spend some BCC to unlock daily rewards for 7 days. The first day reward was a headwear but the rest are nothing particularly special. Still, if you want to spend a little bit of BCC this will at least get you a unique headwear. I've included the headwear from the test server on here as reference. This headwear is far from the best and only offers a 60 HP deposit so nothing life changing here.

Novice Supply Station

This shop allows you to buy materials at a discounted rate. On the live servers I'm sure these prices are actually higher than the current market price, however gear for your class can show up sometimes and during release week ninja equipment is probably going to cost an absurd amount.

On the third day I was able to buy a Muramasa katana for 1.5m zeny. The market price was 4.6m so I saved over 3m buying through this supply station.

I'm sure this is exclusively for new players so be sure to check market prices of the items listed and you might find some good deals!
