Important

Writing the pages in this directory and coding the ABC prototype is being progressed in parallel. So, both the pages in this directory and the codes of ABC prototype will be fully written by the end of 2022.
All the codes in this directory are pseudo codes similar to JavaScript for any developers to understand regardless of their preferred languages. Working codes are at the Gitlab account of Team Jupeter[Link].
Every modules in ABC Specification assume users having logged in via ABC authentication.

Preface

At a glance, ABC is an international payment system similar to CBDC, but with some notable differences because it's NOT JUST a payment system, but a social system, which is to be shared by more than 146 BRI nations.

ABC is a new social system quite different from all kinds of capitalisms and socialisms.
ABC is a system that converges all social infrastructures, not only governmental offices, but other social systems also.
By 2030, ABC is to automate more than 50% of labors done by humans today.
It also is a financial institution like a global bank which provides all kinds of financial services including banking, insurances, and stock exchanges etc.
It's unit(T) has intrinsic value of gold and always denoted by a specific amount of gold.
It provides non-financial services such as (1) governmental services, (2) social infrastructures.
- The governmental services which ABC provides includes legislation, justice and administration etc.
- The social infrastructures it can be includes education, health, traffic, market and welfares etc.

ABC is just a system without human employees and fixed assets, and intended to replace or supplement current social organizations.

It is intended to replace;

current financial institutions such as banks, insurance companies and stock brokerage companies.
It is intended to replace current governmental financial administration entities such as "Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC, 증권거래위원회)" and Financial Supervisory Service (금융감독원).
It is intended to governmental offices such as central governmental offices like IRS(Internal Revenue Service), local governments, city halls, county halls.

It is intended to supplement;

courts.
central and local councils.
law enforcement services.

An Open Source & Commercial Project.

The ABC Project is an open source, but, it's not a free or hobby project.

It's a social reformation project including an automated and unmanned government.
The ABC Bank or a global financial infrastructure is just a fraction of the project.
It's a long term projects including the construction of a new city to demonstrate the functions of all the modules included or embedded into the ABC ecology.
It's a professional project which compensates each contribution.

2. The Eastern and South Western Parts of Jejudo

For design and coding exercise, let's assume the ABC Pilot City is to be built at Jejudo island, South Korea with population of 200,000, of which a half is residents, and the other half visitors. See ABC 실증 도시 and its subpages.

2. Milestones

Developers and experts of other fields to participate in coding ABC had better have some knowledge and experiences in at least four(4) fields below.

3. Milestones

The ABC project is scheduled to complete;

2022.12 - working prototype.
2023.12 - alpha version of its commercial system.
2024.12 - beta version
2025.12 - complete field tests at 193 nations worldwide.
2026 - launching ABC bank with IPO(if possible).

3. Prototype, Alpha, Beta and Commercial Version

ABC is a large project, and will be done in four different phases. Each page(= module) in this directory gives summary of which parts are for prototype, which for alpha, which for beta, and which for the commercial version of ABC.

Prototype

Prototype is just a mockup system, and will be coded by December, 2022. Most of the contents in this directory, ABC Prototype & Specification, are for the prototype of ABC.

Most codes are written in JavaScript because it's the language which most developers can handle and have some experiences.
Prototype is a kind of design to show what kind of system we are to develop, and to clarity the concept of the ABC infrastructure.
Openhash and SpaceWeb, developed only for ABC, are simulated in cloud services such as IBM cloud or AWS.

2. Alpha

The alpha version will be coded by December, 2023. Alpha is the first ABC system which actually works.

From now on, most of the ABC system is written in the Rust programming language and some in Elixir.
Some key feature of ABC are Openhash and SpaceWeb, which we developed for ABC. They will be field tested NOT in cloud services such as Google Cloud Service or AWS, BUT in its own cloud environment of ABC.

3. Beta

The beta version will be coded by December, 2024. Some notable features are;

This version is to utilize our new internet protocol and new WWW architecture based on IPv6.
The 6G telecommunication will be merged into ABC.

4. Commercial

The beta version will be coded by December, 2025. Some notable features are;

Complete standardization of all hardwares and web services including search engine, cloud-based linux, thin smartphone and PC, office program including word processor, web browser, SNS and games etc.
Complete the design of the ABC city and start construction.

4. How to fund the cost of ABC development

All the shares of ABC Company will be sold month by month, year to year from the beginning of 2023 to the end of 2026.

The number of shares to-be issued by ABC Company is 10,000, which is equal to ABC 1 Giga T.
The face value of ABC 1T is gold 0.001g.
The price of ABC issued by the ABC Company is from 2.x times of the face value at the beginning of 2023 to 5.x times at the end of 2026. It's NOT sales, but capital offering. So, there is no income or revenue of ABC Company. That's why ABC Company is not ordinary cooperation, but SPV(Special Purpose Vehicle).
All the capital offering by ABC Company will be used for ABC development from 2023 to 2026.

Readers may curious what happens to those who have bought the shares or ABC issued by ABC Company(to be exactly, those who have participated in the capital offering of ABC Company by 2026) .

The share of ABC company(= 10,000 shares = ABC 1 Giga T) will be converted to 0.1% of the to-be established ABC Bank by the end of 2026.
The number of shares of ABC Company is 10,000, ABC 1 Giga T.
The number of shares to-be issued by ABC bank is ONE(1) billion, or ABC 1 Tera T, and 0.1% of them are ABC 1 Giga T. Again, the number of shares of ABC Company is 0.1% of those of ABC Bank.

Reader may think 0.1% of ABC Bank's equity is too small, but the size of ABC Bank is large enough for 0.1% shares to have a significant meaning.

5. How to contribute and Compensations

We are functional programmers. So, contributors are expected to be familiar with functional styles whatever language we use in coding ABC.

Gitlab accounts

By the end of 2023, we will use the gitlab service, and from 2024 a standalone gitlab server.

Make a gitlab account, fork the master branch, add your gitlab id and some other personal information such as name, address, and phone registered in your name.
Buy at least one(1) ABC[Link], and make sure the transaction is committed in your fork and merged into the master branch of ABC Company.
Then, enjoy coding.

2. Compensations to contributors of ABC project

One(1) percent of the equity of ABC bank is set aside to compensate the designers of ABC, contributors and experts in other fields.

The number of contributors is expected to be more than 1,000, some are programmers(= developers) and the others are experts in other fields such as mathematicians and mechanical engineers.
0.9%(= ABC 9 Giga T) of the shares of ABC Bank will be given to the designers and other contributors of ABC project.
As the shares of ABC Company is 0.1% of those of ABC Bank, the sum of(1) R&D expenses sold by ABC Company and (2) the compensations to contributors is 1%(= 01% + 0.9%) of the total ABC issued by the ABC Bank, that is, 1% of the equity of ABC Bank.

Most compensations will be provided between 2023.01 and 2026.12.

5. ABC Company and ABC Committee

After launching ABC bank, the ABC committee will control all kinds of affairs related to ABC.

The member of ABC committee will be erected between 2023.01 and 2026.12.
The erection process is yet to determined, but surely will be some conjunction of voting powers denoted by owning ABC(T) and meritocracy.

1. ABC Company

ABC Company is a Special Purpose Vehicle(SPV) to manage and financially support the ABC project by 2026. It will be changed to ABC Bank after its establishment.

2. ABC Bank

The ABC Bank is the core of ABC, having more than 100 subsidiaries. Though the Bank itself is an autonomous and unmanned system, some people will manage the system including updates and bug fixes. Those people will be the major, maybe not all, members of ABC Committee.
