In current cities, family members clean their houses. But, an ABC city is more like a quite large hotel with hundreds of thousands of guests all the time, where foods, laundry, and cleaning services are provided by the city.
Houses in the city are either public or private. Cleaning services are for public ones, which are managed by the city.
All the furnitures and electronics belong to the city, and designed to be cleaned easily and by cleaning machines.
All public housing in the city is cleaned by a professional team on a regular basis or upon request.
The cleaning processes are monitored and verified by ABC.
Despite cleaning services, the primary responsibility for keeping the home clean lies with the home.
A cleaning robot visits and cleans the floor of a house everyday.
Laundry service is provided by another professional service system.
Toilets and bathrooms are cleaned automatically.
Let's assume that there are 1,000 residential buildings with100,000 public houses each of which accommodate one to four persons. So, the unique ID of each house is in the format of 000-000 to 999-999, the former being the number of residence building, and the latter the number of each house. For example, the unique ID of the house where Alice's family reside may be 023-033, meaning the 23rd building in the residence area and the 33rd house in the building.
Each cleaning robot visits door to door everyday, and clean the floors of a few public houses and corridors.
It's a linux machine with fixed IP address, and a house also is a linux machine. So, they communicate each other.
The webpage of a house has data including the last cleaning, how many persons using the house, the ages of household members etc. [Figure]
The robot asks the family to remove obstacles such as clothes that have fallen on the floor so it can clean the floor.
After cleaning a house, the robot requests the webpage of the house to update information related to the cleaning service such as when the robot visit the house, how long it takes to clean, and photos before and after cleaning etc.
There is no privacy issues as all the data are encrypted before put into the database of the house. So, no one or organization other than the family can access the photos.
Let's code it.
Different from ordinary houses, those in the city have specially designed doors for delivery robots or cleaning robots may come in and out without human engagements. So, people don't need to open and close doors to accept deliveries.
Houses are not exposed to theft or other criminal risks because all the city space is monitored by ABC.
Toilets are specially designed to clean automatically after each usage, and family members are in charge of their toilets' cleanness.
The cleaning service item of the webpage shows detailed information such as the date of the last cleaning service, which machines and/or personnels did the job, the current status of cleanness etc. It also has the button of "Request Cleaning Service"[Figure].
The city allocates a professional team and inform the house which team will visit when and how long it will take to finish, which machines are to be used, and how much is the expense etc.[Figure]
