ABC Laundry

1. Summary

ABC City is similar to a giant hotel, and the city provides laundry service to its citizens. In this way, compared to the current cities where each household washes their family's clothes, the ABC city can significantly reduce the energy consumed in the washing clothes of all citizens.

This page is to design those facilities and devices necessary to implement city-provided laundry services.

• Facilities are automated with robotics and AI.

• Clothes to wash in laundry boxes are sent from households to laundries and vice versa via ABC logistics.

• Laundry shops are nearby. Otherwise, logistical costs will outweigh the energy savings from bulk laundry services of the city.

• The laundry box is designed to fit directly into the washing machine without human assistance.

• Fees are charged on weight.

• Washing detergents are biodegradable substances.

2. Laundromat

Every residential building or complex has a laundromat which is connected to every house via ABC logistics.

• A laundromat has several washing machines. They are all linux machines . The linux of a laundromat manages the linuxes of machines, and the linux of a machine operates the machine.

• When the laundry box from each household arrives at the laundry, it is fed into the washing machine by a conveyor belt, and returned to each household after drying.

1. Washing Machine

It's a linux machine too. Assume that a laundromat has ten washing machines. They can be part of a SINGLE Linux machine, or each can be a Linux machine. Contrary to intuition, the latter may be more cost-effective. Let's assume all are linux machines with unique IP addresses.

• Each machine has a camera that confirms that the laundry is just laundry. The washing machine may refuse to wash when a laundry box with shoes arrives.

• Through a web page assigned to each machine or laundromat's IP address, customers know when the laundry has started, when it will be finished, when it will arrive home, and more.

2. Laundry Box

A laundry box is similar to a washing machine drum. It's delivered to and from houses via a logistical box of ABC Logistics.

The logistics robots that load various products such as laundry boxes are designed so that the process of loading and unloading contents is done automatically by machines without human intervention. In addition, these robot cars are designed to drive through tunnels underground and inside buildings, rather than outdoors.

3. Citizens

They may call a laundry box from anywhere to anywhere and anytime. For example, if you want to wash your workout clothes after playing tennis, you can first rent clean clothes from a rental shop, change clothes at the public shower booth of the tennis court, and then call the laundry box. The clothes you wore will be returned to your home after being washed and dried.
