Discussion
Children are precious. They deserve to be protected from any harm, abuse, discrimination, and violence. Many of them are being deprived of their rights.
Some of their rights are:
1. Right to live
2. Right to be educated
3. Right to a name and nationality
4. Right to leisure
5. Right to have their own language
6. Right to express their own views
7. Right to own culture
8. Right to have a shelter
9. Right to be cared for
10. Right to be protected against maltreatment and abuse
Everyday these rights are violated. Millions and millions of children are suffering and dying of lack of nutritious food to eat, clean water to drink, and a house to live in. The worst is they are abused and subjected to violence. Because of these, they cannot speak for themselves.
