Examples:
walk She walked to the park.
dance They danced to their favorite song.
BUT not all verbs follow the rules when talking about past tense.
Examples:
sleep He slept for nine hours.
eat The girl ate her dinner late.
RULE: Simply add -s or -es, or keep the word (verb) as is depending on the subject of the sentence. The verbs that come after he/she/it and singular nouns ends with -s or -es.
Examples:
scratch The cat scratches the chair.
write She writes her journal.
cook My sister cooks dinner.
sing Merry sings very well.
go He goes for swimming classes daily.
go Rita goes for music classes daily.
The following verbs remain as is because both the subject of these sentences are plural. Also, verbs that come after I and you do not end with -s or -es.
look They look for clues.
dance We dance together.
play They play the piano daily.
go I go for dance classes daily.
Rita and Tia go for music classes daily.
RULE: Simply add will before the verb
Examples:
rain It will rain tomorrow.
read She will read the last chapter.
eat We will eat the whole pizza pie.
find They will find the missing ring.
enjoy I will enjoy my favorite ice cream in the evening.
go I will go to my friend's birthday party tomorrow.
I will go to school tomorrow.
come He will come to my house tomorrow.
buy Rita will buy a new doll on her birthday.
play I am playing football tomorrow.
