There are leaders in the community who formulate ordinances. These ordinances are approved by the people in the community.
Here are some common laws that have to be obeyed in a big or small community:
1. Anti-littering Law – To keep the community clean, the people are cautioned to dispose their garbage properly.
2. No Smoking – Smoking is prohibited in public places; specific places are designated as smoking areas.
3. Curfew Hours – Children are not allowed to be in the streets between ten o’clock in the evening up to five o’clock in the morning.
4. Loading and Unloading Areas – Public and private transportation vehicles are given designated places to load and unload passengers.
5. Pedestrian Crossing – People are allowed to cross streets at designated places only.
6. Waste Management – Households should dispose their garbage carefully. Biodegradable wastes should be separated from non biodegradable.
It is in one’s community where one should feel that he/she belongs from a neighborhood to the entire community. Here are some ways that members of a community can do to create a sense of community:
1. Participating in random acts of kindness
2. Acknowledging a passerby in your neighborhood or at work
3. Attending community events
4. Volunteering
5. Meeting your neighbors
6. Buying from local merchants
7. Making an extra effort to talk with someone who may have a different background or perspective than your own
8. Supporting school/s
9. Organizing or attending a neighborhood or community party
10. Joining a club or other social organizations
A community that is alive benefits its people and the country as a whole. People, either young and old, who feel a sense of belonging could live happier and healthier lives. Thus, communities can create a more stable country.
