DISCUSSION
The ear has 3 main parts : outer ear , middle ear , and inner
Outer ear - is the visible part of the ear. It is where girls pierced so that they can wear earrings. The outer ear consists of the pinna and ear canal. The pinna or ear lobe is the outermost layer of the ear. It collects and catches sound waves.
The pinna - includes ear the canal. It is a narrow passageway where dust or dirt is collected. It is also where earwax is produced.
Middle ear - The
job of the middle ear is to make sound louder. It is an air - filled space consisting of eardrum and three tiny bones. The eardrum is a thin membrane that vibrates and receives sound waves from the outer ear. The three tiny bones pick up the vibrations and carry them to the inner ear.
Inner ear - to send the sound to your brain as signals. Then your brain tells you what you have learned.
Inside the inner ear are rounded canals that are filled with a watery substance. This substance helps you maintain you body balance. There is also a spiral tube that changes vibrations to signals. The signals are sent to the brain. Tha brain tells you what you have just heard.
