Proverbs 4:6-7
Wisdom and Understanding
6 Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you;
love her, and she will watch over you.
7 The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom.
Though it cost all you have, get understanding.
Solomon wrote in Proverbs, that we should not forsake wisdom, because she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you...Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom...Though it cost all you have, get understanding...
All of us can use the Holy Spirit to watch over us...The Holy Spirit is an Advocate for us, a Helper, the Spirit of Truth...We can use Her wisdom that is available as a source of protection...We would do well to spend a little time meditating on the different Scripture about wisdom and understanding...Our Holy Spirit wants us to find the wisdom in the Truth of God and His Son...Know that goodness is found in wisdom
Job said that wisdom is found among the aged...A life of experiences helps bring on understanding...To God belong wisdom and power; counsel and understanding...Job adds that the fear of the LORD, that wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding...
Solomon continues on wisdom...Whoever is wise let him heed these things and consider the great LOVE of the LORD...Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline...Wisdom is found on the lips of him who has understanding, but a rod is for the back of him who is devoid of understanding...When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom...The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and He who wins souls is wise...Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing...A wise son heeds his father's instruction, but a mocker does not listen to rebuke...
And James brother of Jesus tells us that if any of us lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him...The wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere...
