Proverbs 1-1-7
Beginning of Knowledge is Fearing the LORD
1 The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel:
2 for attaining wisdom and discipline;
for understanding words of insight;
3 for acquiring a disciplined and prudent life,
doing what is right and just and fair;
4 for giving prudence to the simple,
knowledge and discretion to the young-
5 let the wise listen and add to their learning,
and let the discerning get guidance-
6 for understanding proverbs and parables,
the sayings and riddles of the wise.
7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
Galatians 5:22-26
Fruits of the Holy Spirit
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
Beware of the men we meet who have no interest in the good of the world, but only their own personal interest in their self, for they lack kindness...Beware when lying is called good and okay and the Truth is called names and is persecuted, for the Great Prophets were persecuted...Beware of teachings not of wisdom but one of self-interest, for they lack wisdom and discipline and understanding...Beware of men who are not just and fair to others; for giving prudence to those who are simple, knowledge and discretion to the young is what good men do, for they lack LOVE...Let the wise listen and add to their learning on Truth, and let the discerning get guidanceāfor understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise...
People seem to respond better when they are taught by example than being told this or that or preached to...Parables and proverbs teach life lessons and theological concepts about Truth, because God's Word is Truth...This is how Jesus taught others with how went about His Life in His deeds when He taught others with parables...Others watched how He lived His Life and learned Great Lessons...
Jesus is filled with the Holy Spirit and its fruits...So when you are wanting to learn from others choose those who are filled with the fruits of the Holy Spirit of love, joy, kindness, faithfulness, peace, patience, goodness, gentleness, and self control...
