Isaiah 40:31

Isaiah 64:4
Waiting on the LORD
4 Since ancient times no one has heard,
no ear has perceived,
no eye has seen any God besides you,
who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.
Proverbs 19:11
Wisdom and Patience
11 A man's wisdom gives him patience; it is to his glory to overlook an offense.
Proverbs 14:29
Patience and Understanding
29 A patient man has great understanding, but a quick-tempered man displays folly.
Solomon in the Book of Proverbs says that a patient man has great understanding...He later adds that a man's wisdom gives him patience...St. Augustine said that "Patience is the companion of wisdom."...The patience that we have is linked to our wisdom and to our understanding...Those who pray, know that our Father in heaven, is infinitely patient and infinitely wise...God is slow to anger...And He is compassionate and abounding in His Love and faithfulness...When man has learned to be slow to anger in his life, then he has learned much...One who is learned to be long in waiting and long in patience has grown in wisdom and understanding...He understands that his impatience does not help in the things he is doing or trying to get done...
When I pray, I wish things would get done by my Father, and get done quickly...It seems my personality was not made to wait on things...But the LORD has His time and His will, and I live in this earthly time...In the end, I always believe that God's will -will be done...He knows best...His patience and His ability to wait always trumps mine...
Waiting on our Father in heaven, does not mean that He has denied us or will not answer our prayers...The Bible tells us that when those that wait patiently for the LORD, He will turn to, and their cries will be heard...Those believers who are tired, but wait on the LORD shall renew their strength...They shall mount up with wings like eagles, and be able to run and not be weary...They shall walk and not be faint...Those who wait on the LORD will see the most beautiful of things...The patience one will one day see what no eye has seen or no ear has heard...Patience and waiting is a blessing from the LORD, and learning to have patience is a blessing from Him...When we have learned these things of waiting and patience, we have gained in understanding and increased our wisdom...
