Proverbs 17:22
A Cheerful Heart is Good Medicine
22 A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
Smiling is good for you...Smiling comes from a cheerful heart...A cheerful heart makes a cheerful face, but by sorrow of heart the spirit is crushed...All the days of the afflicted are evil, but the cheerful of heart has a continual feast...A tranquil heart gives life to the flesh...Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life...The light of the eyes rejoices the heart, and good news refreshes the bones...
The Henry Ford Health System in Detroit says that Smiling not only offers a mood boost but helps our bodies release cortisol and endorphins that provide numerous health benefits, including reduced blood pressure, increased endurance, reduced pain, reduced stress, and a strengthened immune system...So, it makes sense that God wants us to smile...Let us have a cheerful heart and keep smiling...
Scripture tells us that a joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones...So let us delight ourselves in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart...A joyful heart is a smiling heart...May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him...So, there's something we have to do first...We have to first trust and then God will fill us with His joy and the joy of His Son...
Paul Silway says: “The gospel of grace is not about what YOU do to make God smile, it’s embracing what GOD HAS DONE through His Son Jesus Christ, putting a smile on your face.”...“Jesus wants to see a smile on your face!”...“Seeing Jesus prolongs your life...Seeing Jesus keeps you healthy...Seeing Jesus makes you strong.”...“Old age may have its limitations and challenges, but our latter years can be some of the most rewarding and fulfilling of our lives.”...
