Hope is Good for You
12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.
Hope deferred or hope that must continue to wait is not good for you or your soul...So a hope deferred makes the heart sick...But a hope that is fulfilled is good for you, and thus a longing fulfilled is like the beautiful tree of life in the Garden of Eden...
The physician who bluntly tells the patient he or she has no hope, does not help the patient...The good physician knows that by giving his patient hope is part of the treatment, is part of their healing, is part of their recovery, and is good medicine...There is some sort of power, treatment, and healing in hope...Hope is the anchor to the soul...Hope refreshes life...
