Proverbs 12:25
25 Anxiety weighs down the heart,
but a kind word cheers it up.
This Proverb gives us hope...Kind friendly words and hope help me when I have low moods...
I have anxiety and when anxiety hits me, my mood lowers very quickly...Sometimes, when I get stuck with racing thoughts, clinging thoughts, and getting too many thoughts, I try to maintain a positive attitude...I look for hope...I pray, meditate and do breathing exercises to help manage my anxiety...I also sing...Also, I try to maintain a positive attitude when I can, and as best I can...I do the best I can to be positive, not just with happy thoughts (because that is difficult when you are anxious and are in a low mood), help me when I am anxious as another coping strategies for anxiety and depression...So, I use prayer, meditation, breathing exercises, and trying to keep a positive attitude when I am anxious - as best I can...A small amount of hope is good for one's Spirit...
Pastor and author Charles Swindoll writes this about keeping a positive attitude and how important it is in life...“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life...Attitude, to me, is more important than facts...It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do...It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill...It will make or break a company...a church....a home...The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day...We cannot change our past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way...We cannot change the inevitable...The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude...I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it...And so it is with you...we are in charge of our attitudes.”...“The pursuit of happiness is a matter of choice...It is a positive attitude we choose to express...It is not a gift delivered to our door each morning, nor does it come through the window...And it is certain that our circumstances are not the things that make us joyful...If we wait for them to get just right, we will never laugh again.”...
