Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Psalm 119:97-104
Trusting God's Scripture
97 Oh, how I love your law!
I meditate on it all day long.
98
Your commands are always with me
and make me wiser than my enemies.
99
I have more insight than all my teachers,
for I meditate on your statutes.
100
I have more understanding than the elders,
for I obey your precepts.
101
I have kept my feet from every evil path
so that I might obey your word.
102
I have not departed from your laws,
for you yourself have taught me.
103
How sweet are your words to my taste,
sweeter than honey to my mouth!
104
I gain understanding from your precepts;
therefore I hate every wrong path.
We are to trust in the LORD and to trust the Scriptures...Sometimes this is difficult when we encounter a verse or verses the contradicts what we think...
We need to examine what we hear and read that is not in tune and in harmony with the Bible...Maybe something was missed in our original thinking...Solomon wrote in Proverbs to trust in the LORD with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight...The Psalmist tells us that he has more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes...I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts...I have kept my feet from every evil path so that I might obey your word...I have not departed from your laws, for You Yourself have taught me...How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!...I gain understanding from Your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path...
These authors believed in God and followed His instructions...They examined those things that are difficult for us to understand and trusted in the LORD...
