Matthew 5:5
The Meek Are Blessed
5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Luke 9:48
The Least Will be First
48 Then he said to them, "Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For it is the one who is least among you all who is the greatest."
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
When I Am Weak then I Am Strong
9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Proverbs 19:17
Helping the Poor
17 Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord,
and he will reward them for what they have done.
Jesus said, "Whoever welcomes this little child in My name welcomes Me; and whoever welcomes Me welcomes the One who sent Me...For it is the one who is least among you all who is the greatest."...The weak, the poor, and the least are important in His teachings...And those who are need and need mercy are important in His ministry...
The weak and meek from an evolutionary standpoint were hamstrung because of their problems and being weak...There are some who believe, that the meek and those who have trouble taking care of themselves have been somewhat overlooked and they most likely would not have made it through the natural selection process of evolution...In the “trial and error process” of evolution each one of the weak and meek would have had problems surviving during the billions of years of evolution...It is difficult to be really weak and really meek and survive and still be able to grow, reproduce, and adapt...The weak and the meek would and sometimes find it difficult to reach their full potential...So the weak and meek and those having the attributes of being weak and meek would have less of a chance in having offspring (according to some that believe in evolution), so the attributes of the weak and meek would eventually die off -according to the belief of natural selection...
Jesus offers us another view about those who are weak, meek, and have problems...Jesus thinks so much about the afflicted...He says the meek are actually blessed, and that the meek will inherit the earth...So people who are not completely healthy or are not fit and who have grown or came to be meek have a different outcome in His teachings...We are who we are...We might be weak or we might be strong...Evolution and the increasing of our species by evolution is not taught by Jesus...The evolutionary and the natural selection process and its view, I would think would have a hard time at looking at weakness and meekness and seeing it as being a strength... Can we look at the problems of a man or woman living an unhealthy life two thousand years ago, and believe that this weak and meek man will over time be eliminated by the evolutionary cycle, because of his weakness?...Look at the gospels and all those who Jesus helped...Jesus never has overlooked the meek and the weak and teaches us that the meek and weak are His followers...Jesus is on the side of the underdog...The weak and meek are survivors, eternal survivors...God is the Father of the weak and the meek...
