John 1:1-4
Jesus Has Been Here Since the Beginning
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.
Hebrews 13:8
Jesus is the Same Throughout Time
8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
John 2:4
Jesus Time Was Not Quite Ready
4 "Woman, why do you involve me?" Jesus replied. "My hour has not yet come."
John 7:6-8
Jesus Time Was Not Here Yet
6 Therefore Jesus told them, "My time is not yet here; for you any time will do.7 The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that its works are evil. 8 You go to the festival. I am not going up to this festival, because my time has not yet fully come."
Matthew 28:16-20
Jesus Will Always Be With His Disciples
16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Galatians 4:4-5
The Time Had Come
4 But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.
Mark 1:15
Jesus Knows the Right Time
15 "The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!"
John 20:19-23
19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 20 After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.
21 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”
John 3:16
LOVE and Eternal Life
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 14:1-31 (KJV)
God Will Send Another Comforter
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
Jesus was ahead of His time...He could do things no man could do when He walked the earth, and still no man can do what He did today...Jesus completely understood how time works...Jesus' time and our time are not the same...As we read these verses, there is something a little different about how He sees time and how we view time...And throughout all of time He is the same, whether the time was yesterday, or is today, or is tomorrow, or is eternal...He told His disciples that surely He would be with them always...Jesus does not lie, so He surely is with them today...
God had set a precise time for the birth of His Son...And at that time He sent Him to earth...And He walked and taught among us...When Jesus started His ministry the Kingdom of God (at that time) was very near...Very, very near, because Jesus is God's Son and He was teaching among us...And in His teachings, we learn about the eternities, because that is what He teaches...He has been with His Father from the very beginning, and He is eternal...He always knew and knows, what and when the right time was and is to do something...He did everything Perfect in our time and the timing of what He did was exactly the right time...
Because Jesus was among us, God was near us...They both were near us...And I believe the close followers of Jesus felt something Spiritual about their experiences with Him, as He taught...
For Jesus' followers they believe He and His Father are eternal...We believe God sent Him at the Perfect Time to be born...We believe that He started His ministry at the Perfect Time...We believe that the Kingdom of God was very near us, when He walked the earth...We believe that He will always be with His Disciples, even to the very end of the age...We believe in these eternal things...We also believe, not only in the eternal things He divinely lives in and moves, but also we believe that He is with us, in the here and now...He has the divinity and holiness and sacredness to be with us yesterday, today, and tomorrow...He is the same in our time and in His time...And yet man gets transformed through time...We are young, then age, then die...We do not exist until we are conceived...Then we are transformed and live in a womb for nine months...Then we are born and on earth...Then we live for our God appointed years and we are transformed again into His time, into eternity...
After His death He seems to be able to jump in and out of time for forty days...Making appearances here and there -wherever He wants...After His resurrection He appears out of nowhere in a house where His disciples had the doors all locked...Non-believers think this is fantasy, while believers see it as truth and factual...He had to appear as He did, just as He had to do His miracles...Without these signs, I doubt very much if He would have had a large as following as He had...God thought is was the Perfect Time for Him to do these things...His disciples and His other followers were just men probably trying to figure out what He was doing and what He was saying...He spoke the greatest words ever to be spoken...If I were one of His disciples I would have been constantly asking myself, "How could He have just done that, in front of my own eyes?" and "Can you believe what He just said?"...
Whether we believe in eternity or just in plain time, our earthly time marches on...And still God is near...Near no matter what the time is...His message was not so much about time and the understanding of time...His message is about His death on the cross for us and saving us from our sins...A simple, but very complex message...One all about the LOVE and never perishing and being given eternal life with Him and His Son...
So God came near us, and is near us, and when we think He is far away, let us think of the time Jesus walked the earth...Jesus was near us, and thus God was also near us...And God sent us the Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus, to help us feel Spiritual, more Spiritual, and therefore, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are all near us -even when we think they are not...
