溝入敬三（みぞいり・けいぞう コントラバス・作曲）

1955年、遥かに瀬戸内海を見下ろす山の上に生まれる。広島大学附属福山中高等学校、東京藝術大学卒、文化庁派遣カリフォルニア大学留学。独ダルムシュタット「クラニッヒシュタイナー音楽賞」、日本現代音楽協会「第７回作曲新人賞」、現代音楽演奏コンクール”競楽”第一位・「第10回朝日現代音楽賞」受賞。CD「コントラバス颱風」「コントラバス劇場」「語り物音楽傑作選・猫に小判」、著書「こんとらばすのとらの巻」。 演奏家・作曲家だけれども、2008年より、ふくやま芸術文化ホール「リーデンローズ/Reed & Rose」館長。

Keizo MIZOIRI (double bassist, composer)

Keizo Mizoiri was born in Hiroshima in 1955. Since graduating from the Tokyo National University of Music and Fine Arts in 1978, he has been active as a double bass soloist, concentrating mainly on contemporary music. In 1990 he was awarded the Kranichsteiner Music Prize from the Darmstadt Music Institute, and in 1994 he was guest soloist at the Avignon International Bass Festival. In 1995-6 he went to study at the University of California San Diego after receiving a grant from the Japanese government as part of the “Overseas Study Program for Artists”.

As a composer he is self-taught. In 1990, he was awarded the Young Composer’s Prize by the Japan Society for Contemporary Music for his composition “Don’t touch the Laughing Stone” for Hichiriki and double bass.

Since 2008, Mr.Mizoiri is the director of Fukuyama Art and Culture Hall in HIroshima.
