上野淳子ギャレット（うえのじゅんこギャレット）

古典から現在までの幅広いレパートリーを持ち、音色の美しさと表現の豊かさ、テクニックの確かさで、アメリカを中心に、ヨーロッパ、中南米、アジアで演奏活動を展開中。3 才よりピアノを始め、東京都立芸術高校音楽科ピアノ科、桐朋学園大学音楽学部ピアノ科卒業後、アメリカのライス大学にて音楽博士号を取得。又独奏だけでなく、室内楽でも様々な音楽家達と精力的に共演している。国際的な文化交流への貢献に対して「日本国総領事賞」を受賞。日米の友好関係150周年記念公演ツアー、日本ブラジルの友好関係記念公演ツアーなど。在住するロサンゼルスではThird@First コンサートシリーズの芸術監督、MTNA のロサンゼルス支部長、オクシデンタル大学の教授、そしてコンクールの審査員として活躍中。YouTubeで毎週公開している日本語のピアノレッスンが、熱い支持を受けている。「大人の為のピアノ合宿　ピアノ・アドーレ」開催。大の相撲ファンで、ロサンゼルス相撲ファンクラブの創設者。

Junko Ueno Garrett

Japan-born Junko Ueno Garrett has captivated audiences around the world with her colorful tone, poetry, expressiveness, dynamic technique, and wide range of repertoire. She is a versatile musician (www.junkopiano.com), active as an internationally acclaimed performer, an avid chamber musician, an artistic coordinator of “Third@First Concert Series” (www.thirdatfirst.org), a president of the local Chapter of MTNA (www.capmtpasadena.org), a faculty at Occidental College, and a competition adjudicator. She began playing piano at the age of three, trained at the prestigious Toho

Gakuen in Tokyo, and received a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree from Rice University in the United States. Junko received “The Japanese Consul General's Award” for her contributions to international relations and understanding between countries. Junko’s weekly piano lesson on YouTube has been receiving much acclaim. (YouTube@junkouenogarrett3509). Junko is a passionate Sumo advocate and a founder of the Los Angeles Sumo Fan Club.
