Are we supposed to find the artifact on this deserted island?

GAWAIN : 

Not “on” it, my boy.

PERCIVAL : 

( We’re going inside?! )

MORDRED : 

The druids of Iona are still watching us. 

GAWAIN : 

( Hehe. ) Look at them, Mordred. They’re like little old folks peeking at us through the windows.

MORDRED : 

They must know it’s dangerous.

GAWAIN : 

Are you perchance scared despite being with me, Mordred?

MORDRED : 

Don’t be overconfident. One can never be too careful.

GAWAIN : 

Help me put my armor on, then.

PERCIVAL : 

What a strange cave…

GAWAIN : 

Are you talking about the shape of these rocks? 

PERCIVAL :

…They look like they’ve been carved right out of the stone.

GAWAIN :

Legend has it a giant lived here, deep inside the cave.

He was a stonecutter, and was said to have built a bridge between Scotland and Ireland.

This grotto was supposedly part of it.

PERCIVAL : 

A giant…?

MORDRED : 

It’s an old story, don’t listen to her. 

There is no giant here.

Come on.

PERCIVAL : 

Yes, I⎯

[ percy slips and holds onto mordred not to fall aww ]

PERCIVAL : 

T-thank you, Mordred.

MORDRED : 

… Stay close to me

if you don’t want to fall.

PERCIVAL :

Okay. 

PALAMEDES : 

Hold on.

…

[ breathing sounds echo down the cave. ]

GAWAIN :

… Let’s proceed carefully, and quietly. 

Be on your guard. 

LANCELOT : 

This must be the artifact…

Galahad, go⎯ 

Go get the sword! I’ll handle this!

[ galahad ignores her and runs for the thing rip ]

LANCELOT : 

WATCH OUT! 

GALAHAD : 

I, I…

I wanted, you…

…You’re going to⎯

LANCELOT : 

Never go after an opponent at an angle where they hold the advantage.

Go around them,

create a distraction,

blind them if you must,

but don’t ever make the mistake of…

…putting everyone in needless danger.

GALAHAD : 

I wanted to help you.

LANCELOT : 

I don’t need your help.

BORS : 

… Don’t be too hard on her, Lance, I wasn’t⎯

LANCELOT : 

Galahad.

Go get that sword.

Let’s not linger here any longer than we have to.

BORS : 

Lance, you’re hurt.

LANCELOT : 

It’s nothing.

BORS : 

Don’t be difficult, let me take a look.

LANCELOT : 

Maybe you’re not harsh enough.

Believe me, Bors,

it’s for her own good. 

If she puts herself in needless danger,

ROUND TABLE TRIVIA

The word “druid” applies to all members of the druidic order, but said order has its own hierarchy and different roles.

The highest-ranked members work with kings to preserve the kingdom’s prosperity.

Merlin : 

We’re Britain’s scholars : we’re knowledgeable in laws and the political situations between each kingdom.

However, each druid has their own area of expertise : teaching, poetry, music, medicine, etc.

Merlin : 

My specialty is, of course, divination! ( Magic too, but that doesn’t come from my education. ) I’m also an excellent teacher!

Druids can gather into communities, like the one on the island of Iona, in the kingdom of Dalriada.
