KAY :

Damn it…

Have you got that bloody scabbard, yes or no?!

PERCIVAL :

I’d like to see you try!

GIANT :

The scabbard?

That won’t be enough to beat me, Gramps.

Neither that nor anything else, actually.

PERCIVAL :

What…!

Sir Kay?!

KAY :

Mind your own business!

Keep looking!

PERCIVAL :

But⎯!

GIANT :

Looks like you’re going senile already.

Aging’s not pretty.

But you’re holding your own better than expected. You must’ve been good, back in your day.

KAY :

You don’t know who I am, huh?

I hope you like surprises.

GIANT (mocking)

Surprises?

What are you going to do, exactly?

Hit me with your little fists, little man?

KAY :

“Little”?

That's not something I hear often.

GIANT :

I’m not only talking about your height.

You humans…

You think you’re capable of such great things.

In the end, you can only realize how powerless you are against us.

That’s what I like about you.

You’re delusional.

KAY :

…You know what I like about you?

GIANT :

Hm?

KAY :

You’re flammable.

What, not a fan of surprises?

Hey!

HEY!

THE SCABBARD!

GIANTESS :

Catch you?

You want me to catch you?

Do you really think you'll get very far in that state?

DINADAN :

It’s true that I’ve been better…

You know what, c’mere.

I’m sure I can still kick your arse.

PALAMEDES :

Stop!

I’m your opponent!

GIANTESS :

You can barely stand.

I might as well let you two reunite so I can finish you off together.

Your past victories made you arrogant.

Nobody taught you to fear us.

DINADAN :

I’ve been taught much more useful things about you.

I was told that

“A giant’s worst flaw

is that they think themselves invincible when up against us.

They treat us like parasites, like insects, like vermin.

Being humble means remembering that

parasites generally have roundabout ways to kill us.”

GIANTESS :

Interesting.

And yet, roundabout ways mean that

parasites rarely outlive the ones they mean to kill.

DINADAN :

That metaphor can only go so far.

I don’t like it that much, actually.

But…

It comes from someone who knows a lot more about you lot than I do.

Someone who’s got to be in a very bad mood right now, and

who’s using me as bait.

ROUND TABLE TRIVIA

The Round Table’s suits of armor offer light protection meant for the battlefield.

While they work fine for fights between knights, they aren’t infallible when going up against an adversary of superior strength.

NPC knight

Arrows and swords are fine. Cannonballs and maces, though…

Better protection requires more material. The armor then becomes heavier and its wearer loses out on speed and endurance.

The heaviest suits of armor are usually kept for tourneys and ceremonies.
