GALAHAD :

Hey, Mordred!

Look who I found.

MORDRED :

Percival? Aren’t you supposed to be waiting tables?

GALAHAD :

Waiting tables?

PERCIVAL :

Yes, I…

Kay told me to go get some rest.

GALAHAD :

Forgive me, Percy.

Sir Bors and I just got back yesterday, I didn’t know.

You do look tired.

Do you want to go and get some rest?

PERCIVAL :

I…

I⎯

MORDRED :

Are you feeling better?

PERCIVAL :

Huh? …

MORDRED :

You were petrified.

It’s because there were too many people around, isn’t it?

PERCIVAL :

[nods]

I do feel better, thanks.

MORDRED :

Take your time to recover.

Galahad probably went to get your brothers.

PERCIVAL :

I don’t want to see them.

MORDRED :

You’ve been different since you returned.

Blunter, duller.

What’s happening to you? The last few days haven’t been easy on you, have they?

PERCIVAL :

…They told you what happened in Corbenic, didn’t they?

And how much of an idiot I was.

And…

I’m still dealing with the backlash from the Grail’s magic. Merlin removed the patterns, but…

It was really, really painful.

…It still is. He told me what remained of the pain would fade eventually.

I didn’t want to talk about it, but…

I don’t want you to think you’re behind all this. It can’t have been easy for you either.

I saw how Kay treats you. I don’t know why, but…

I hope I didn’t hurt your feelings.

I really was happy to see you.

Knowing you’re not mad at me anymore was a relief.

MORDRED :

It’s because of my father’s reputation.

And after what Gawain…

At least, I assume there was no enmity between us before that.

And Gawain managed to get back into Arthur’s good graces, as well as some of the knights’.

I think they genuinely do like her.

I, on the other hand, still have to prove myself.

It’s a bit tough, yes.

So you placing such importance on seeing me again and getting along with me

makes me really happy too.

PERCIVAL :

You⎯

You’re smiling!

It’s…

You have such a pretty smile, Mordred!

MORDRED :

Wh⎯

PERCIVAL :

I’d love to see you smile more often!

MORDRED :

Stop it!

AGLOVALE :

I see.

Looks like you’re feeling better.

Thank you for letting me know, Galahad.

Could you and Mordred leave us, please?

Very well. There is much for us to discuss, I think.

LAMORAK :

You tell him, I’m going to⎯

[ starts to dip ]

AGLOVALE :

No.

You stay here and tell him what you told me.

Talk to your little brother.

LAMORAK :

[sigh]

I…

I admit I’ve been hard on you.

Too hard.

And you weren’t entirely wrong.

When I saw you after all these years…

All I could think about was the little brother I knew. And I was disappointed that you didn’t remember me,

because when you were little, you followed me everywhere.

I was clearly your favorite.

It made him terribly jealous.

AGLOVALE :

Yes, well, it was vexing.

LAMORAK :

This said, the moment Father entered the room, it’s like we stopped existing.

[ rejected ): ]

LAMORAK :

…We lost everything when Father died, you know.

Mother just left with you, without a word of warning.

So I think that seeing you again

gave me too much hope that everything would go back to the way it was.

So I’m…

…sorry…

to have put you under so much pressure.

So if you’d rather be Tristan’s squire…

I understand.

AGLOVALE :

With that said,

I’m still not in favor of you becoming Tristan’s squire, you know.

But…

Whatever you do, you’re a child of Pellinore.

If you need time to understand what that implies,

the least I can do is give you that time.

So you can go on a few quests with Tristan, if that’s what you want.

PERCIVAL :

…Okay.

LAMORAK :

But…

…Do you still want to go on a quest with me at some point?

[ hug!! and squeeze!! ]

PERCIVAL :

Of course.

DINADAN :

Brooding, aren’t you?

Thinking about your sweetheart, I bet.

TRISTAN :

How’s Bors?

DINADAN :

He’s fine, we just put him to bed.

He really can’t hold his drink.

TRISTAN :

What he can’t do is say no to Kay’s refills.

And not a day goes by when I don’t think about Iseu⎯

DINADAN :

Yes, I know.

You should enjoy the evening instead of sulking on your own.

Arthur keeps asking after you, he’s glad you’re here.

TRISTAN :

I know, I’m happy to be here too.

I’m just homesick, and…

Seeing Gawain flirt with every lady at court

reminds me of when it was my job.

DINADAN :

Am I dreaming, or are you complaining about being faithful to Iseult?

TRISTAN :

I'm not, but I haven’t seen her in months.

And with the way things went in Corbenic, it looks like things will drag on for a few months more.

Speaking of which, I know we act all fine and dandy around Percival, but what happened that night does haunt me a little, I have to admit.

DINADAN :

(sigh) I know. It’s been on my mind too.

Corbenic, Pelles, the Grail… Breuse, Morgan…

That’s too many coincidences.

But I don’t have any evidence to bring to Arthur.

He wouldn’t take me seriously.

( Arthur :

Easy on the drinks, Kay. )

KAY :

Guinevere!

GUINEVERE :

Yes, Kay?

KAY :

How’s the pudding? I made it for you.

GUINEVERE :

It’s delicious as always. Are you still fishing for compliments on your cooking?

KAY :

I’ll never have enough, my queen.

BEDIVERE :

Don’t encourage his boasting, Guinevere.

ARTHUR :

You seem lost in thoughts, my sweet.

GUINEVERE :

Oh, yes, forgive me…

I hoped to see Lancelot tonight…

I’m just a little disappointed.

ARTHUR :

I understand.

I feel the same…

You can always count on the young'uns’ courtesies, though.

GUINEVERE :

Arthur, please!

ARTHUR :

I’m serious!

Isn’t it always nice to be courted?

[ silence then whispers ooo ]

KAY :

Hey!

A horse in my great hall?

Where do you think you are?

Didn’t anybody teach you respect where you’re from?

?? :

Respect is only owed to those who deserve it.

I’ve come to lament its absence in these halls.

For Arthur, King of Britain,

you feast in the company of murderers.

ROUND TABLE TRIVIA SURPRISE!

Kochei (the one doing all this) :

Thank you for following Gradalis all this time ( Such a pretty font. ) We’re already halfway through the season, I can hardly believe it.

To celebrate, I’ll be doing a FAQ! It will exceptionally replace next week’s episode, just so you can enjoy the suspense a while longer.

?? :

Who are you, O Dark Knight?

?? :

I am vengeance, I am Night,,

And also so I can take a break.

Medic :

You’re not going to die until we get to the end of it, dammit!

Kochei :

Tell Arthur… that his hair is such a pain to draw…

Comment with your questions and I’ll pick out some! And there’ll be a new banner to celebrate, too. (Isn’t that nice?)
