[NOTE: These concerts were in memory of Walther Straram (1876-1933) and billed as work of the Orchestre des Concerts Walther Straram (see, for example, the poster for "irrevocably, the last two concerts"), even though the group was essentially dissolved by that point. The Beethoven Ninth performances used the same soloists and chorus that had been heard with the Orchestre Symphonique de Paris under Pierre Monteux on 20 March 1934. The Straram orchestra had traditionally given its annual series of 16 concerts on Thursdays, precisely so it could employ players from the Sunday associations, and Société des Concerts personnel figured prominently on the roster. It seems likely that this Orchestre Straram was composed primiarily of Société des Concerts and OSP musicians.]
