1. 私が日本における多様性、平等について考え時にまず始めに思い浮かべるのは性的マイノリティに関する問題だ。私はLGBT問題について深く関心を持っている。私がこの問題に考えるきっかけは｢citrus｣という女性同士の恋愛をテーマにした漫画を読んだことである。この作品は同性愛だからこそ生まれる登場人物達の様々な苦悩を描きつつ、未だに日本では同性愛が社会的に広く認められていない状況を問題提起している作品でもある。この作品の中の1人の登場人物のセリフで私はとても心を動かされ、同時に同性愛というものに深く関心を持つことになった。そのセリフが「自分が好きだと思ってしまったのなら、そこに男も女も関係ない。偶然相手が女の子だっただけよ。」というものである。恋愛というものは人々に与えられた自己表現の1つであり、それを国の慣習や偏見などによって制限されるのは自由とも平等ともかけ離れた状態なのではないか、と私は考えた。
また、1年次の英語の授業では世界における様々な問題をとりあげ、プレゼンテーションをする時間があったが、その授業内で私は特にLGBTに関する問題を多く取り扱ってきた。日本だけでなく、世界各国で性的マイノリティが生きていきやすい社会を作ろうとする運動が多く行われており、この問題が世界的に見ても重要視すべき問題であることを表している。
そんな中、日本では同性婚の法制化がされておらず、それによって苦しんでいる同性愛者が未だに多くいる。私はこの演習授業を通して、日本での性的マイノリティの自由が保証される社会にするにはどのようなことをしていけばいいのか、それについて他の履修者の皆さんと共に考えていきたいと思っている。
2. また、去年1年で大学の授業内では女性の地位向上についても触れる機会が多くあった。これについても深く考えていく必要があるの思う。
女性問題については日本だけでなく、他の多くの先進国でも問題となっている事が多い。日本では男女平等を謳う政策などが整えられてきている中で、東京五輪組織委員会会長の女性蔑視発言など、女性問題が未だにあり、状況が改善されてきているとは言えないと私は考える。現代において性差別などは無くすべきである、男尊女卑など古い考え方である、という考えが国民の多くに浸透しているはずであるのにこのように未だに女性問題が発生してしまうということは、もっと根本的な改革が必要なのではいないだろうか。
今後日本が更に発展していくためには必要不可欠であろう女性問題という重要な話題について、様々な意見を聞き、適切かつ革新的な解決策または解決に向けてどのような意識を持っていくべきなのか、などについて議論したいと思う。

３.初週の授業を通して、他の人達のこのゼミにおける興味関心を聞き、自分の中でも新たに疑問を感じるものや調べてみたいトピックが見つかった。まず、自分の興味のある性的マイノリティの分野では実際に性的マイノリティであ ることに苦しんでおり、日本が同性婚を認めていないことにより被害をうけている人たちのリアルな声を聞いてみたいと思った。私は被害を受けている本人たちからの視 点でも、実際にその対策として様々な制度をお定める人でもなく、あくまで今の現 状を第三者として見ているだけなので、実際に性的マイノリティの人々はどのような 場面で苦しんでいるのか、また特に同性愛者の場合、結婚できないことでどのような 不利益があるのか、また、制度を定める側としてもどのような問題があって同性婚を みとめられないのか、それぞれの視点にからのことについて深く調べたいと思った。

3. Through the first week of class, I listened to the interests of others in this seminar and found new questions and topics that I would like to research. First, in the area of sexual minorities, which I am interested in, I would like to hear the real voices of those who are actually suffering from being a sexual minority and are affected by Japan's lack of recognition of same-sex marriage.
