The contacts widget allows a user to browse, store and create a database of their contacts.
User are able to add new contacts, as well as new groups, to facilitate easy browsing and sensible categorisation of contacts. Each contact may be associated with multiple phone numbers, and calls to a contact can be initiated using the contacts widget.
Contact Groups
Users are able to create Contact Groups, allowing for easy grouping of contacts who share similar properties. This could be contacts who work for the same company, work in similar positions, contacts who are friends, or family, or that fit into any grouping which the user chooses.
To add a new group, simply click on the row that says "Add group", then name the group and save.
Adding Contacts
To add a contact, first select the group to which you'd like to add the contact, and then select "Add Contact". Enter the contact details for the contact, and save.
Deleting a Contact
In order to delete a contact, simply click on the contact, and select the large, red "Delete Contact" button.
Initiating a call to a contact
To place a call to a contact, simply click on the desired contact, and then click on the phone number that you would like to call:
A pop up will provide you with the option to originate a call.
Select "initiate", and then confirm the source and destination, by clicking "originate".
Your own handset will ring, initiating a call to the contact upon your answering.
