This document will detail the implementation of a Wanderbox or Com.X PBX device, supported via connection to the Wanderweb UC&C service, in order to leverage unified communications services to users “stuck behind” legacy PBX systems.
- First step is to ensure that On the Wanderbox or Com.X device, extensions have been created with numbers matching those of extensions on the legacy PBX device.
- Calls to these extensions should be directed to the Wanderweb extensions residing on the Far South device and sent to the extensions on the legacy PBX only if the Wanderweb extension goes unanswered.
- Every user extension on the legacy PBX, to which unified communications are being enabled, requires a Wanderweb user account to be created.
- Thereafter a Wanderweb extension, for each user, is setup on the Far South PBX, with a matching extension to its legacy PBX extension “twin”.
- Review the online Wanderweb Wiki for an in depth description, including configuration instructions and videos, of setup and use cases of the UC platform: https://sites.google.com/site/wanderwebhelp/home
- Log into the Comma GUI.
- Once in Comma GUI navigate to the Extensions tab, in Configuration setup.
