Basic Analogue Extension Setup

1. Log into Comma GUI of unit. (https://sites.google.com/site/comxwiki/how-to-log-into-the-comma-gui-of-your-com-x)

2. Select Start

3. Select Configuration

4. Select Extensions Tab

5. Adding Extensions:

  • Adding extensions from ports: Single extensions or a group of extensions can be assigned to available extension ports by selecting the ports in the ports list and selecting Assign from the context menu.
  • Adding Unassigned extensions: When a range of extensions is added, the friendly name is set equal to the extension number.
  • Adding Generic SIP extensions: A Generic SIP extension allows local or remote login of any standards based SIP phone or softphone. When a Generic SIP extension is created, both an Extension and an Extension Port are created with the same name, and automatically associated together. In this case, there is no device element related to the Extension Port.

6. Right click on an available extension port in the ports list.

7. Select Assign

8. Enter an extension number in the Extension Start field.

9. Select Accept.

10. Select Review Apply

11. To confirm if device has been assigned configured extension, from device dial *65, and a voice prompt should replay your extension number configured.
