A USB install disk can be created from both Com.X5 1.3 and 1.4 version SW.
To do this, first insert a USB flash drive into USB port 1 on your device.
Access the comma recovery menu:
> /usr/share/comma-recovery/bin/cr_main
Then select "Create recovery media, from the list of options provided:
Select the flash drive (Do not select the internal SD or you will write the data to the PBX and will corrupt the Com.X)
This process could take up to 90 minutes as the comma-recovery module creates a bootable flash disk.
After the successful creation of a recovery disk, the comma-recovery menu will be presented, indicating an OK on the recovery media creation.
Unplug the flash drive, which can now be used to install new devices of that type.
Note: the flash drive recovery disk can be used to install only systems of the same type as the unit on which it was created. A recovery disk created on a Com.X5 is suitable only to install other Com.X5 devices. A recovery disk created on a Wanderbox is suitable only to install Wanderbox devices.
