The application is Strava. Strava can be used for a variety of science activities.

Strava can be coupled with other metrics such as GPS and other overlays such as g-force and miles per hour to increase the production value. Other applications products such as, map my run, applications and to check heart rate is a great way tie in this application.

Data can be collected on a quantitative level where students are checking times and rates during their activities. However, the data can be used to create other tools to evaluate instruments that check the progress of activities.

HR during the Ride can be collected, to see if your fitness is improving. Students will have a chance to explain their own physiology, and see how their body reacts to the stimulus.
