Ruler App (its free) or its equivalent (i-ruler)is designed to accurately determine the size of any object by either taking a picture of it or measuring it on the screen. You can take any picture of an object and the app claims to measure it as precisely as a traditional ruler or tape measure

Sample Investigation

One group of students will download the App and the other half will use traditional rulers. We will see which group has the best accuracy and precision. Then students will graph their data for comparison and see which method is best.
