• Increasing access to professional learning by offering a variety of professional learning avenues to include continuing education opportunities

• Conducting research on practical social emotional learning approaches and professional learning for faculty members

• Establishing a working group and creating a multi-year action plan to implement social emotional learning across all Pacific East schools

• Continuing to build upon the foundation of culturally responsive, academically engaging, and equitable learning environments and aligning the district's social emotional learning practices

The Pacific East District Onboarding, Mentoring, and Coaching Working Group has positively impacted the district as evidenced by:

• Providing new teacher mentors at each Pacific East School

• Outlining the role of the new teacher mentor to ensure ongoing support for new educators to the Pacific East

• Developing a bank of resources for new teacher mentors to help support new teachers in the Pacific East District
