In becoming One Team, One Vision, we have had a positive impact on building leadership capacity as evidenced by the implementation of our strategic plan structure. Examples of implementation can be observed through the development of a system of professional learning, which includes weekly leadership meetings, complex huddles, bi-annual leadership summits, and support from our Center for Instructional Leadership (CIL). One approach we utilize to monitor the impact of our professional learning opportunities for building our leadership capacity is through the engagement of internal review visits (IRVs), during which we review the impact of our administrators in their roles as instructional leaders of our schools.

Focusing on high expectations for learning through the implementation of College and Career Ready Standards and emphasizing 21st century teaching and learning practices
Monitoring student learning through the implementation of the DoDEA Comprehensive Assessment System (DoDEA-CAS)
Meeting the needs of all students through the implementation of a variety of student-centered programs and services during the COVID-19 pandemic
Supporting teacher collaboration through Focused Collaboration

Monitoring schools through internal review visits and allocating district support based on the results
Updating school facilities, technology (D-CAP), and furniture based
Allocating time to focus on teacher collaboration and development through Focused Collaboration and professional learning days
Restructuring the role and allocations of the Instructional Systems Specialist to provide targeted support for schools
Developing a professional learning plan aligned with the district strategic plan and allocating funds in support of the district plan
