The Spore Hollows

Enclosed in a single massive cavern the towering phosphorescent fungi and the carpet of mycelium hide many secrets the dark elves harshly protect.

Geography

The Death Stalks. The southern edge of the landscape is as deadly as any across the world. Potent spores float amongst the withered fungi, creating a poisonous haze that infects the body and mind.

Felaveshar (The Cloak Fault). The spanning dome of caverns that contain the whole of the region, having been created by Olmavixa of the Travail as she spread her living cloak Veshar over the mountains. Her sister Sithua then filling the cavern with illusions and wards against the dragons that that it might serves as a bulwark against their tyranny.

The Life Threads. Stretching across the cavern the delicate fungal filaments once saved many of the elves fleeing the dragons. Seen as a sacred site of Sithua's magic, the landscape is protected now by Malanh.

Roads and Landmarks

Athar'ald (Hidden Vengeances). These stone formation housed enclaves of the dark elves in their secret war against the dragons. Many of the dragonkin fell victim to unknown assassins and baneful poisons, all created by Malanh. These places act now as sacred shrines to Olamvixa of the Travail.

Lithilmen (The Ashen Path). The great road leading east and west through the forest of the Green Reach leading on to Malanh. The true elvish name now lost, it is called in the common tongue the Ashen Path and the elves adopted the name in remembrance of all those burned by the dragons while they fled to their refuge in the Depths of the world.

Settlements

Phungral. A small village of Slygish humans near the western reaches of the region, tolerated by the dark elves as the populace are descended from slayers of the Dragon Kings of Kor'ak.

S'telovhan. Along the Ashen Path, the power of Malanh is made known throughout the region. The Stands of the Travail, the acting arms of the dark elves' martial, arcane, and subversive power, from this grand citadel range across the landscape, until they prove themselves ready to press further into the Depths, to defend their empire.

Ruins and Subterrane

Above the Hated Sheer, the strands of the fungal forest stretch on to the Mycelium Copse, creating a network within the Depths, mapped and tracked by the powers of Malanh. None are fully aware of the extent to which the dark elves have conquered the Depths, but it is known that through this part of the Depths one could travel in relative safety.

Oegnoeth. Within the Death Stalks this eldritch ruin swarms with the aberrant undead, continually culled by the dark elves, they have yet to discover a means of ending this scourge.

Voh'tyahl. Draconic ruins on the western borders of the Spore Hollows, barely a stone yet stands, but the ruins run deep drawing again and again dark denizens to its crumbling halls.
